We will be showing the movie American Hustle, a
crime story which has been referred to as a comedy,
drama, on Sunday January 18th, 2015. It was a
popular movie which came out in December 2013, and
was nominated for many awards. This movie was
previously scheduled for November but had to be
cancelled due to emergency medical reasons. We regret
any inconvenience that was caused.

Up the Creek - January 16
Attention Crafters
Our first class of the year will be held on Jan. 28, 10:00
am in the Robin Room.
We have postponed the lighthouse project until the
Spring as supplies are not readily available until then.
The project will be making a wreath out of coffee
filters, yes you read it right, coffee filters. I have made
a sample of the wreath and will be on display in the
lobby of the hall this week. There will be a project
supply list in a basket under the wreath for you to pick
up if you are interested. Also supplies listed below.
If you are interested in this project please call Bonnie
@6273 to let me know how many will be attending.
The coffee filters can be dyed so if you want to colour
your filters before the class, so they are all ready to go
for the craft day. Please let me know and we can
arrange for everyone interested in colouring the filters
to come to my home the week before and I will
demonstrate how to dye them. This is a very easy
project, putting it together and dying the filters.

Here are the supplies you need:
Dance, January 31st with Alan Jackson
12 inch Styrofoam wreath, the green rounded one is not
as thick as the white flat Styrofoam wreath (I bought
mine at Michaels and with 50% coupon it was only
$4.50).
300 coffee filters; there can be 2 sizes, either one will
do. The smaller filters will make a smaller wreath.
The sample in the hall is made with the larger filters.
The bottom of the filter measures about 3 ½ inches
across. The smaller filter measures about 3 inches
across the bottom. Buy the filters with the rippled
edges. The dollar store sells both for 100 in package
for $1.25 pkg, or you can look around at Walmart or
No Frills. I found some at Walmart that were more
economical but the pkg had 250 in them. I bought
several of the larger amount as I plan to make more
than one.
Glue gun
Glue sticks, will need at least 12 to 15 sticks
Scissors
Tribute artist James McDermaid, country classic and
easy rock.
