John Kliewer provides senior human resources and leadership consulting services
to organizations. John has worked for over 18 years as a human resources
professional in the private and not-for-profit sectors. John has held positions as a
training manager, human resources manager, and senior HR manager in
organizations from 100 to over 1,000 employees, and led HR teams of 5 to 9
individuals. John holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, a four year Certificate in
Human Resources Management from the University of Manitoba, and has earned
the Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation from the
Canadian Council of Human Resource Management Associations. He has been a
member of the Human Resource Management Association of Manitoba since 1997.
In addition, John has over 15 years of leadership experience in the aviation field. In

1988, he was commissioned as an officer with the Royal Canadian Air Force. He
flew more than 3,000 missions acting as a Pilot, Flight Instructor, and Standards
Officer. He was also a designated Safety Officer/Accident Investigator. He was
awarded the Canadian Forces Decoration (CD) Medal in November 2001 having
held various operational and strategic leadership roles. He retired from the RCAF
Reserves in 2003 at the rank of Captain
