Back to business
Angus and Wade buddy reading
Kia ora to all our school whanau and
a big, big, welcome back.
Welcome also to our new students,
Aurora Mitchell-Jensen, Ally Lochhead
(Room 1) and Lilly Perkovich (Room 2).
Also welcome back to Mrs. Morgan
and Mrs. Attwood into Rooms 5 and 6
respectively.
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas
and New Year. Horror of horrors I
spent much of mine in our overgrown
patch of weeds that I can now call a
garden. I did get time though to
relax, knock off a couple of books,
see all my kids, have some café
coffees and enjoy the amazing
weather.
But now we are all back “into the
swing” and we are looking forward to
the exciting and interesting year
coming up.
I have sent notices home for those
children who would like to play touch
rugby. Remember, these need to be
returned by Monday 9th Feb.
We have an exciting term ahead of

It was disappointing to return to school during the break to find that our 2 basketball hoops had been ripped
off the wall of the school and stolen. The same morons no doubt also tried to tear off the hoop on our standalone goal but only succeeded in breaking it. Also missing were 2 of our seating forms – can you believe that?
If anyone out there has any information about this, please ring the school or contact Donna at the Police
Station. Your help would be much appreciated.
The Home and School Association has its first meeting of the year next Tuesday (10th Feb) in the staff room
starting at 7.00pm. ALL WELCOME.
A reminder that tomorrow is Waitangi Day and school will be closed.
Have a great long weekend,
Nick
Watch out for the
pie order coming
out in next week’s
newsletter.
