Welcome to the gathering of the community of
believers known as Calvary Temple Church.
Once again this year Calvary Temple is privileged to be cooperating
with the Ministry of Missionfest Manitoba. Our special guest in our
two morning services today is Darrell Whiteman. An anthropologist
by training, a committed Christian and a lifetime proponent to an
incarnational approach to missions. He spoke on Friday night at
Church of the Rock and we are privileged to have Darrell with us
today. Tonight at 6:00 p.m. in Grace Works, our guest from
Missionfest Manitoba will be James Eagles. He is the Canadian
president of Intercede International and lives in Fort Erie, Ontario.
The unique connection that Intercede International has with Calvary
Temple is that this organization partners with Pastor James and some
of our work in Sudan. I really hope that many people will come
tonight to hear of how our financial investment has impacted the work
of God in Sudan, particularly in the recent building of an orphanage in
Lobone, South Sudan. You will also have an opportunity to help in
providing seeds for a farming project in Sudan. See you tonight!
Next Sunday morning I will be preaching sermon number six in our
series entitled, "Gauging our Goals." This message will focus on the
God-given privilege of earning a living and being our best at what
God has called us to do. All of these messages are available for
purchase at The Connecting Point. Thank you to all who participated
in the nominating process in preparation for our Annual Meeting
being held on February 23rd at 7:30 p.m. This year's slate of names
will be presented next Sunday, February 15th for your prayerful
consideration. You will also be receiving this year’s ministry reports
along with the Financials for 2014. There will also be updates
concerning our parking lot development on the site of Luke's
Machinery, as well as an encouraging update on the financial giving to
the capital campaign for the building of our year-round retreat centre
at Calvary Temple Camp on the shores of Red Rock Lake.
Next Sunday morning we will be blessed to witness a service of
Believers Baptism. If you have not yet been baptized in water as an
outward sign of an inward work of the Spirit, you have an opportunity
on March 22nd to include yourself. Please call the office immediately
to register, don't be disappointed. A service including the dedication of
children will be held on March 15th. Please call the office to include
you and your children in this service of Dedication.
