I know that I am not yet what God wants me to be I haven’t reached
THAT GOAL, but I keep moving toward it to make it mine because
Christ made me and saved me for this. I know that I haven’t yet
reached MY GOAL, but there’s one thing I always do. Forgetting the
past and straining toward what is ahead, I keep my eyes focused on
THE GOAL so that I may one day win the prize that God has called
me to receive through Christ in the life above. All of you who are
spiritually mature should think this same way, too.

Welcome to the gathering of the community of
believers known as Calvary Temple Church.
It is a tremendous privilege to gather together on
this the final Sunday of 2014. Thank you so much
for coming. To those who are visiting with us with their families who
attend Calvary Temple, it is my personal prayer that today's service will be
a great encouragement to you. Here at Calvary Temple we like to distinguish between religion and relationship. Religion is that part of our
expression of our belief that is rooted in culture, history and tradition. It is
certainly not bad, however, "Life in the Spirit" is rooted in the relationship
that each one of us can have with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ through
the power and assurance of the Holy Spirit. As we learned in last Sunday's
sermon in Colossians 1:27, "Christ in me my Hope of Glory", Praise the
Lord!
Thank you to all who helped us over the Christmas Eve/Day worship
celebrations here at Calvary Temple. It is incredibly encouraging to me to
see the various cultures finding their place of full expression here within
this community of believers.
I am looking forward to New Year's Eve here in the sanctuary with our
musical friends, Larry Ford and Sue Dodge. They are frequent guests on the
Gaither Homecoming Celebrations and each of them has been here at
Calvary Temple on several occasions. The New Year's Eve celebration will
begin at 10:30 p.m., preceded by a dessert fellowship at 9:30 p.m. in the
banquet hall. Please help us by letting friends and family know of this
amazing opportunity to bring celebrate in the Lord's House. We will
definitely be praying in the New Year.
Please be reminded of two things coming up in the next month, the first
being Alpha on January 14th. Think about who you may be able to invite
and bring with you as a part of your friendship evangelism lifestyle. On
Thursday, January 29th a seven week marriage course will begin with you in
mind. Please make the investment, register you and your spouse today, you
will be encouraged and strengthened in your marriage.
Thank you to each family who has given special thought to how they can be
of encouragement today to the finances of our church as we come to the end
of another year. At Calvary Temple we teach openly about the fact that it is
the Lord's Tithe that brings Financial Blessing. Thank you for participating
today.
