2015 CVIRAA AND SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES

1.
The 2015 Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association (CVIRAA) Meet will be hosted by
DepED Cebu Province Division and to be co-hosted by the Local Government Units of Cebu
Province and the Municipality of Balamban in cooperation with the Municipality of Asturias and
the City of Toledo. The venue of this year's CVIRAA Meet will be in Balamban, Cebu and this will
be held on February 22-27, 2015.

The CVIRAA Meet aims to:
a. promote Physical Education (PE) and sports as an integral part of the K to 12 Basic
Education Program and as an affirmation to the school's commitment to the full
development of the great potentials of the youth to become responsible and
globally competitive citizens of the society;
b. instill and imbibe among the pupils/students the spirit of discipline, teamwork,
excellence, fair play, solidarity, sportsmanship and other values inherent in sports;
and
c. serves as a selection for the CVIRAA Delegation to the 2015 Palarong Pambansa.

The participants of this Regional Meet are the athletes, coaches, chaperons and other
delegation officials from the nineteen (19) Schools Divisions of the Department of Education
Region VI I.
4.
Each Division shall contribute an amount of Seven Thousand Pesos (Php 7,000.00) to the
host Division {Cebu Province) for the Souvenir Program, trophies, medals and certificates. The
contribution, including the list of the Division Sports Council, shall be submitted to DepED Cebu
Province Division on or before January 26, 2015.

This year's CVIRAA Meet will include games for the Special Education (SPED) athletes
and demonstration games for Billiard, Futsal, Wrestling and Wushu. There will be two (2)
contests: the Cleanest and Eco-Friendly Delegation, and the Most Disciplined Delegation.

Swimming and Gymnastics events will be held on February 24-26, 2015 at Cebu City
Sports Center (CCSC).
7.
Expenses incurred by the delegations in their participation, management and
involvement during the 2015 CVIRAA Meet shall be charged against local and other available
funds subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
