ETA EXECUTIVE BOARD ELECTIONS
ETA elections will take place Feb. 11 – April 21, 2015. The Executive Board
meets prior to each Rep. Council meeting and at such other times as the
President may deem necessary. Officers shall be elected for a term of 2 years,
commencing on July 1 of any calendar year. The positions that will be open for
the 2015-2017 term of office are: Vice-President and Treasurer. In addition,
there are two Member-at-Large positions.
The duties of the Executive Board shall be to:
1.
Coordinate the activities of the Association.
2.
Act for the Representative Council when school is not in session.
3.
Direct the bargaining activities and grievance processing of the
Association, subject to policies set by the Representative Council.
4.
Approve appointment and removal of bargaining team members.
5.
Recommend a budget for the Association to the Rep. Council.
6.
Approve Committee appointments.
7.
Adopt the Standing Rules for the Association; and
8.
Exercise all the business and organizational powers and duties for
the Association as prescribed by law and these bylaws.

ETA LOCAL NEA DELEGATE
ELECTIONS
As you will be attending the 2015 RA in Orlando FL, and to avoid any surprises,
the Executive Board has directed that the Delegate(s) be aware of his/her
responsibilities as an NEA Delegate representing The Evergreen Teachers
Association. The RA Delegate(s) term(s) are for three (3) years.
There is currently 1 open position(s) for ETA Local Delegate.
The duties of the Representative Assembly Delegate(s) shall be to:
1. Attend all pre-trainings and meetings usually held at the San Jose RRC
(4810 Harwood Rd. #100) in San Jose.
2. Attend all California caucuses and RA sessions that are held daily during
the RA Convention.
3. Submit expense receipts upon your return, making sure they are through
your own credit card or cash receipts.
The Declaration of Candidacy Form must be submitted by Mar. 6, 2015.
