Call Centre: 0861 16 16 16 Web: www.ccma.org.za UPS Maintenance Specification CCMA wishes to procure the services of an industry-leading supplier who will work pro-actively and in partnership with CCMA for the provision of planned and reactive maintenance bi-annually (every 6 months) 2. Scope of work 2.1 Cleaning of UPS and batteries including batteries replacement if the need arises 2.2 Physical inspection including Inspection and repair of hot wires Inspection of main system component condition for externally visible defects Inspection of battery condition and terminals for corrosion 2.3 Electrical inspection Checking and recording of Input / Output voltages with required readjustments Checking and recording of Input / Output currents Checking of battery float voltage and current component per battery Checking battery charge ripple content Checking frequency control voltages with required readjustment 2.4 Electronic inspection Checking of all subsystem control parameters and readjusting to original UPS Specification System software parameter if required with verification via laptop computer And required reconfiguration to original specification on microprocessor controlled Units. 2.5 Alarm inspection Verification of audible and visual system alarm functionality 2.6 Tests Simulated mains failure test with battery voltage discharge recorded at various Intervals over a 15 minute period Static and manual bypass functionality testing 2.7 Report back Quotation for major component replacement if required Submission of written report with recommendations 3.
