Theme:
At
Mount
Tabor,
in
his
transfiguration, Jesus shows that he is the
Son of God. Jesus reveals his glory to the
apostles before they experience his crucifixion.
Christ’s crucifixion was a humiliation.
Because of the experience at Mount Tabor, the
apostles could believe Jesus was everything
he told them. The transfiguration experience
motivated them to witness Christ in their daily
lives. God reveals Christ to us in today’s
gospel; “This is my Son whom I have chosen.
Listen to Him.” Let us believe and reflect on
God’s word.
