Princeton Festival Gala Auction Procedures
Live Auction
• Raise your number HIGH to place your bid. Make sure you are acknowledged.
• If you are highest bidder, a TPF Gala volunteer will come to you immediately after
the bidding ends to get your name.
• Reservations for vacation homes and tours are subject to some restrictions and
the actual reservation must be made directly with the donor.
Silent Auction
• Find the silent auction sheet for the item(s) on which you want to place a bid.
• Put your name and the amount you wish to bid on the appropriate sheet.
• No bid below the minimum bid will be accepted.
• Subsequent bids must be in specified dollar increments.
• Gift certificates and services must be used by the specified dates.
• DON’T BE AFRAID TO OUTBID THE PREVIOUS PERSON—this is a fundraiser
for The Princeton Festival, after all.
• “Winners” will be posted at the close of the Live Auction.
• If you place a bid but leave before the end of bidding, be sure to leave your credit card
information at the desk.
SPECIAL EVENTS
• Pre-set price per person for a specified, maximum number of people. Once
the maximum number of people have signed up, the item is CLOSED.
• There is no up-bidding for these items – pre-set price for the specified, maximum
number of people.
Payment for Live and Silent Auction Items
• Cash or check is preferred. However, major credit cards are accepted for payment.
• Double check the amount you owe before paying.
• The cashier will open one hour after the close of the live auction.
Please pay for your items by the end of the evening,
and be sure to take your items home with you.

Two Prints by Judy Brodsky.
Princeton resident Judy Brodsky is a Distinguished Professor Emeritus, Visual Arts,
at Rutgers University, and a founder of Rutgers Center for Innovative Print & Paper,
renamed the Brodsky Center for Innovative Editions in her honor. Brodsky’s work
is in over 100 permanent collections worldwide. Her images of the environment,
women, and family become metaphors for life, decay, death, and possible
salvation. Both of these 2015, 18 x 30 inch digital prints (1/10) are from the series
“The 20 Most Important Questions of the 21st Century.”

The Serious Foodie Wine Tasting Experience: Wines from the Veneto for up
to 20 People on Sunday, May 17 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m.
From the cool breezes of the Adriatic Sea to the mountainous eastern borders, our
tasting event this year brings us to the Veneto. We’ll start with prosecco (as a nod
toward the Venetian sense of style), then go to an intriguing white wine from local
indigenous grapes, then move to a selection of artisan red wines. And, of course,

Marlene Lucchesi’s amazing, delicious stuffed mushrooms. What is her secret and
what are the secret ingredients? Well, here is your chance to find out. Marlene
will demonstrate how to make the mushroom appetizers from scratch in her very
own kitchen AND will give out the recipe to each guest. Marlene has been making
these delicacies for 50 years and they are just as popular today. Once you’ve
mastered the recipe, you can make hundreds at home and freeze them so that you
always have them on hand for entertaining. And, you’ll sample and enjoy a little
wine while you’re creating, of course.
