is within the Meetinghouse Facilities Department’s Congo Brazzaville Facilties Management (FM) Group based in
Brazzaville,Congo.
Summary, Responsibilities & Description of Position:
Responsible to manage the operation and maintenance of Church owned and rented facilities. The position exists to
maintain and extend the useful life of Church facilities and to support priesthood leaders in their facility maintenance &
care responsibilities. The ultimate objective being to ensure that church members have a good environment to meet
in. Required to travel in other Countries( Cameroon, Gabon and Central African Republic)
Requirements






















Degree or Diploma in Facilities Management or similar qualification OR a minimum of 5-7 years related
construction/maintenance experience (such as: Construction/ Project/ Property Management).
Must have a working knowledge of architectural, civil, structural, electrical, mechanical and acoustical
disciplines, including relevant occupational health and safety requirements.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision, be self-driven and be committed to results driven performance.
Must have proven front-line management skills in a multi-discipline work environment.
Professional experience in Project Management
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency in both written and spoken English
Some experience in working with and managing vendors
Must have at least 5 years’ experience working within a structured environment with measurable deadlines.
Good computer skills, particularly relating to Excel, Word, access, email, payment processing software, and
inventory management programs.
Must be proficient in the use of personal computers to utilize databases, spreadsheets, payment processing
software, inventory management programs, word processing, internet, and e-mail communications plus an
ability to learn new software & processes quickly/easily.
Strong organizational, coordination & planning skills - essential.
Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to interact effectively with contractors/vendors, office personnel,
Church Leaders & members.
Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas verbally and in writing
Efficient administrative skills-proven ability to meet deadlines & complete/process tasks in a timely manner.
Must have strong attention to detail and a high numeracy aptitude
Must demonstrate high level of proactivity, initiative, creativity, spiritual maturity, leadership and the ability to
manage multiple tasks.
Must possess good negotiation and decision making skills.
Proficiency in English, French, and/or including other local dialects spoken in the region (both written &
spoken).
Ability to communicate at a professional level both written and verbally to priesthood leaders, contractors and
vendors.
Unquestionable integrity & impeccable honesty
Must hold/be worthy of a current/valid Temple Recommend
Salary and Benefits
Due to the fact that salaries and benefits are paid form sacred funds, these are conservative by nature. The
Church will provide and contribute towards applicable approved benefits.
