COMING
IN
SEPTEMBER!
THE FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY
PROUDLY SPONSORS
Research has clearly shown that involving
your child in a reading readiness program
will enhance their chances of success in
their future educational career.
Here's how it works. Present your child's
library card at the Children's Reference
Desk to get your starter bag. In your bag,
there's a check sheet to log the books you
have read. Choose some books, either
from our pre-packaged theme kits or
your very own selections. Simply check a
box on your sheet for every 10 books read, or write in the number of the
theme kit you have completed. When your sheet is full, bring it in for
your first prize! Collect a new sheet and keep on reading to collect even
more prizes at every 100 books! Once you and your child have completed
1,000 books, you will be invited to a special celebration in the spring!
MUSEUM PASSES
To make a book, video, or museum pass dedication,
either to memorialize a departed loved one or to
honor someone on a special occasion (birthday,
anniversary, etc.) pick up one of our Book Dedication
forms at the Library's Circulation Desk, print one
from our web page at www.centermoricheslibrary.org,
or call the Library at 631-878-0940. Your donation will
be applied towards the purchase of a new library book
representing some aspect of the life and interests of
the person whom you are remembering in this very
special way.
