Educate A Child Receives Donation from K108 Hotel in Doha
Educate A Child (EAC), a programme of Education Above All Foundation (EAA), received a financial contribution
from the K108 Hotel in Doha today. On behalf of H.E. Yousuf Kamal, K108 representatives and members of the
K108 Advisory Board gave the donation cheque to Ali Alsobai, Representative of Education Above All.
Launched by Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, EAC aims to trigger significant breakthroughs in providing
quality primary education to the 58 million children who are currently out of school. K108’s donation will go towards
supporting Educate A Child’s programmes, which aim to provide access to quality primary education to out of
school children around the world.
Commenting on the donation received from K108, Ali Alsobai, Representative of Education Above All, said:
“We commend K108 on their unique and admirable mission and on being the hotel whose profits all go to charity.
We are thankful to K108 for their contribution to EAC, and are pleased to see it join the growing number of
organisations in Qatar who are partnering and supporting the work of EAA and its programmes. EAC aims to
provide quality primary education to 10 million out of school children by 2016, and financial contributions are vital to
ensuring we reach our target”.
One of the best luxury boutique hotels in Doha - K108 Hotel opened in March 2012 and aims to give 100 percent of
its profits to charity. The K108 is a legacy for H.E Yousuf Kamal’s father Hussain Kamal, whose vision and ethics
for life have always motivated him to help the needy.
Christoph Franzen, K108 Representative said: “H.E Yousuf Kamal is certainly following the legacy of his father
and contributing to the society at his best. It is always said that giving is the best joy that one can receive; K108 is
proudly thriving on the same.”
