Position Summary:
We are looking to fill a few, very exciting Product Manager roles across a several of our product
lines; hearing, gloves, clothing, respiratory and footwear. A product manager for one of these
product lines is responsible for managing product marketing related activities for their portfolio
and will be accountable for profitable growth of their relevant business.

This is an impactful role for a broad based, business thinker with analytical, strategic thinking,
project management and communication skills who can collaborate effectively across the entire
business (marketing, engineering, R&D, manufacturing, sourcing, sales and all relevant business
leaders). The product manager position reports directly to the Product Marketing Leader for the
business.
The successful candidate will possess a strong business acumen with knowledge of product
marketing and portfolio management, will have strong customer oriented skills and even stronger
desire to get results to maximize growth, profitability and return on investment for the business.

Specific Roles and Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning
 Integrate inputs to develop distinctive product plans with outstanding financial outcomes; Be
competent in microeconomics, finance, Voice of Customer (VOC) / Observational VOC,
research and analysis and basic marketing toolkit [market definition and sizing, segmentation,
value management, targeting and positioning, pricing].
 Own the product planning process including new product additions working with R&D /
Engineering and ISC, Sales; sun-set current products; develop and manage product
roadmaps linked to segment’s, customer needs and willingness to pay; product positioning
linked to distinctive understanding of competitive offerings and value; product value pricing;
SKU management.

Specifically identify, develop and execute on the relevant product / brand strategies to
achieve current portfolio gaps.
Value Management/Value Pricing
 Design VOC / OVOC; understand segmentation; understand value elements critical to
customers; calculate value equations; target value propositions to customer segments with
aim to develop products / solutions to deliver a great user experience
 Strong fundamental understanding and ability to apply value toolkit to tough value pricing
situations.
 Demonstrated ability to implement new value based pricing strategies with positive results in
the market.
 Work with management to drive strong financial results from pricing.
Transactional Pricing
 Understand transactional pricing tool kit and analytical techniques; Understand pricing
waterfall tool; execute waterfall analysis and drive to actions with financial results.
 Develop dynamic pricing strategies based on value delivered for respective product families.
 Emerging understanding of transactional pricing toolkit; Conducts waterfall and other
analytics to support pricing.
 Support development and/or implementation of pricing policies.
Customer Relationship Management
 Link between technology/product lines and customers. Ability to communicate the value of
the offering in customer centric terms to cause customer to choose Honeywell offerings
based on value delivered
 Strong VOC skill set and ability… meaningful VOC driven to important implications
 Strong knowledge of how to drive value propositions into compelling customer pitches that
result in customer orders
Products and Services Management
 Classic product/services management. Understand and manage product/services life cycles,
profitability, demand planning , new product/services development ideation and process
management, competitive offerings
 Demonstrate understanding of end-to-end role of product manager in context of dynamic
competitive environment; Owns the product profitability and drives positive results.
 Integrate business into decision making; delivers on customer needs on time and on budget.
 Products added and pruned from the responsible product lines while being aligned with the
overall business strategy and linked to ISC with clear financial results.
Brand and Channel Management
 Assist or contribute to the creation and building of brands; Assist in the brand management;
Manage competitive brands
 Consistently works with marketing communications to effectively promote and advertise
brands
 Excellent job of managing channels with positive results for business
 Clearly demonstrate support for the channel with real programs and value delivered to
channel members
Program & Project Management
 Establish/maintain a project management framework in line with strategic objectives; Direct
and control the delivery of programs and projects
 Establish and promote the use of metrics to improve program effectiveness; Use structured
processes to manage programs/projects
Position Requirements:

Strategic Marketing Skills: Deep understanding and experience in microeconomics,
finance, VOC, research and analysis and basic marketing toolkit [market definition and sizing,
segmentation, value management, targeting and positioning, pricing] with the ability to
practically apply. Must link strategies to financial results.
Program / Project Management: Have a working knowledge of project management
techniques; utilize project management tools to load/balance resources, define critical paths
and risk mitigation plans
Leadership: A confident, mature person with the ability to connect with others. A proven
track record of leading projects and teams that successfully achieve milestones and complete
deliverables
Results-Oriented: A driver who possesses the ability to take actions and implement
effective solutions in a timely manner
Problem Solver: A creative yet pragmatic problem solver. Methodical and hands-on as well
as detail-oriented
Analytical Thinking and Decision-Making: A “conceptualizer” of enterprise and market
trends/issues who can then integrate that thinking into marketing and business strategies.
Decisive and logical at thoroughly evaluating issues. Excellent planning, execution and
project-management skills.

Experience and Educational Requirements:
 Minimum 3 to 5 years work experience with proven track record of success with
demonstrable results
 Experience in industrial or consumer business (by specific product line) is desirable
 Must have demonstrated success leading marketing, strategic planning, product
management, engineering
 Successful candidate must possess proven marketing, analytical, program/project
management and implementation skills.
 Undergraduate degree in an analytical / technical (e.g. engineering, economics etc) discipline
is required. An MBA or equivalent is preferred.
