ACSI WV Academic Day is finally upon us!
Since your student is registered to attend, you will please find attached important
information regarding all the following:

Note: This year there will NOT be a closing awards program; rather each school
will have its own awards program the following week. Ours will be at 2:15 on Tuesday,
April 28th in the HCS Cafeteria.
Each student will need to wear a visible name tag upon entering their event area.
(It is therefore important that students keep track of these!) Name tags will be available
at the registration table located in the TVCS commons area (of the school, not the
church building.) Also, students are to arrive at least 10 minutes before their
scheduled time slot for judging. The following students are excused from school on
Friday, April 24 to attend the ACSI WV Academic Day (all other students are having a
regular school day.)

Teays Valley Christian School is located at 6562 (Formerly 4373) Teays Valley Rd. Scott Depot, WV
25560. If you are traveling West on I64, take exit 40. Turn Left off of the exit and you will see the
school straight ahead.

Lunch Arrangements
There are several fast food restaurants in the area, including a Sheetz directly across
from TVCS. TVCS will also have concessions available that day .
Projects
Science Fair and Social Studies Fair Projects may be set up between 8:15 and 8:45 am.
Science Fair will be in Room 103 and Social Studies Fair in Room 104.
What to Bring, Wear,
Students may want to bring individual games to pass the time between judging events.
Students will also need to take the following:
Musical instruments and original copies of their music, folding music stand
(if you have one)
Fair projects with abstracts and all attending materials
Smiles and “Thank yous”
Good manners
Copies of poems, verses to practice
Games (see above) or book to read
Sack lunches or money to purchase lunches./ snacks
Students are to wear clothing suitable for a public performance. Shorts, jeans, capris
are not suitable dress for a public performance…please follow modesty guidelines as per
our handbook
Parent Assignments
Parents are asked to monitor students traveling with them, helping them get to their
assigned meeting areas on time. Also, please monitor our students’ general behavior,
insuring that everyone is behaving politely and appropriately, in a manner worthy of Our
Lord.
Transportation Response Form
Due Friday, April 17
Since school buses are not available for our use this year, we are asking families to
work together to provide transportation for our students. Please complete the following
information and return to the school by Friday, April 17th. Thank you for helping meet
this need! We appreciate you!
