REPUBLICAN WOMEN OF
WORCESTER COUNTY
APRIL NEWSLETTER (2015 Issue 3)
Gloria Moyer, Editor [email protected] 410-208-3786
General Meeting
Thursday, April 23, 2015
Ocean Pines Yacht Club
Doors Open at 10:30 am—Meeting begins at 11:00 am
SPEAKER: Our own Mary Beth Carozza, Delegate for District 38C—Wicomico and
Worcester Counties, will tell us about her first session in the State Legislature. You won’t
want to miss this inside look at the workings of our State government.
MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT: We’re excited about several events that will be taking place in the
coming weeks. The MDGOP Convention is the first on April 17-18 at the Princess Royale Hotel right in our
backyard in Ocean City. Time is really short on this one so if you’re interested in attending please go to
MDGOP.com right away to register. The convention and workshops are $80 without a hotel room and $105
with. We will have a welcome table, a table to sell our Benghazi bracelets and a one to sell tickets for the Central
Committee’s drawing for an AR15 heavy barrel hunting rifle which will take place in November. We will also
support the Central Committee’s Hospitality Suite. I hope many of you will participate and/or attend. Next will
be the MFRW Spring Convention in Pikesville, MD on April 24-25. Again, if you’d like to attend, you will need
to make arrangements quickly. An information sheet is included in this newsletter. Lastly, on May 7 there will
be a luncheon honoring Maryland’s First Lady Yumi Hogan in Annapolis. I hope we will be able to get a group
together to drive up and attend. Please call me if you’d like to be included. An event that takes place on a regular
basis in which you can take part is Whiskers’ Wiener Wednesday. We are folks from RWWC, WCRCC and
friends who like to chat about currant issues and not have to worry about hurting someone’s feelings or getting
feathers ruffled. Wieners are half-priced so you can have a budget dinner. All are invited every Wednesday at
6PM. Just contact me if you‘re coming, so I can get tables reserved. I can’t thank you all enough for your support
and help. The Executive Board Members are the best and I thank each and every one of you!

MEMBERSHIP: Our membership remains strong and active. We now total 133 paid Members including 13
Associates and we expect our membership number to increase slightly as several “snowbirds” return for the
summer. Please personally encourage your friends who haven’t renewed their membership to do so. Since they
no longer receive the monthly newsletter, you might suggest they (and all the club members) check our RWWC
website at www.gopwomenofworcester.com regularly for RWWC events, the monthly newsletter, meeting
minutes, by-laws and more which are easily accessible. Checks for membership renewal should be made
payable to RWWC for $30 annual dues or $10 associate dues and sent to:
Beth Rodier

Bishopville, MD 21813
to new members Margie Ogden and Lorrie Urban!
