BASIC TOURNAMENT RULES
Team rules



Teams comprising 3 players.
A team can be comprised of different factions. Eg Team Awesome is made up of Cygnar, Cryx and
Skorne
Across a team no warcaster/warlocak can be repeated. Eg only one Ehaley per team.
Tournament Rules
Rallypoint is run under the official Warmachine/Hordes game system as published by Privateer Press.






Rallypoint will be run using the most recent official Steam Roller Rules (SR2015).
Each player can bring one 50pt list.
Round timings will use the Death Clock System.
Each player will have 60 minutes available to them to use during the game. Deployment does come
out of this time.
Players are allowed to stop the clock for rules queries, toliet breaks and other legitimate reasons.
There are no tie breakers to determine the winner for each game. A game can be won by any one
of the three methods:
o Caster kill.
o Completion of scenario objectives.
o An opponent “timing out”.
Rallypoint will be run over two days consisting of 7 rounds, 4 on the Saturday and 3 on the Sunday.
Round Pairings
Teams will be paired off against other randomly in the first round.
A team will never be matched against the same team twice.
The captains from each team will work together to determine the individual pairings of the players within
their teams using the following method:

Dice off until there is a winner. The winner gets to choose the first pairing, loser get to choose the
second pairing and the winner gets to choose the last pairing.
Tournament Scoring






The team that gains 2 or more victories from the 3 games in a round is declared the winner and
receives 1 tournament point. The losing team receives 0 points.
o Each player that wins their game in a round is awarded a “player tournament point”
Should there be teams on equal team points then the following tie breaks will be used:
The total of player tournament points a team has accumulated will be used as the 1st tiebreaker.
The number of control points each team wins across all 3 games for a round is also recorded and
used as the 2nd tie breaker.
Should it progress this far (fingers crossed it doesn’t) then the 3rd tie breaker will be determined by
the number of army points each team wins across all 3 games for a round.
4th tie breaker will be one member from each team enters the Thunder Dome and a fight to the
death will determine the winner. “One man enters one man leaves”
Team Feat
There will be a team feat that each team can use once during the tournament. Once teams have been
determined for the round, but before setup, the team captain can announce that they will be feating
and notify the TO. Should both opposing teams use the same feat at the same time then both are
nullified.
One feat from the following can be used:
“I PITTy ThE Fool”
Team captain can choose the player pairings for the round.
“EEnI MEEnI MIInI Moh”
After opponents have been selected for the round, the team captain can choose (out of the three
allocated tables) which tables each of his team mates will play on.
“I JusT Don’T Know whaT To Do”
Once tables have been selected players can choose to go first or second.
Objectives
As part of Rallypoint 2015, select one objective from Steamroller 2015 that you will use throughout the
tournement, include this in your list so that your opponents will know.
Painting requirements/Conversions
Refer Steamroller pack for details. The TO reserves the right to make any changes to the Conversion
Policy. Please ask the TO if you are unsure. Since I’m such a nice guy, as long as the conversion makes
sense it will be allowed.
There is No painting requirement for this event. Although in depth scientific research has shown that
painted armies win more games
Awards
At this stage there will be the following award catergories.
A Team (1st placed team)
B Team (2nd placed team)
Bus Boy (The player with least amount of wins, possably as a result of being thrown under the bus by his
team mates)
Best Painted Army (As judged by you peers on the Sunday)
Best Sport
Assasin (This will be done by how many models were killed prior to the caster getting shanked, also keep
track of your time for tie breaker purposes)
