DUE TO INSURANCE REASONS ALL ENTRIES MUST WEAR AN APPROVED HELMET
High Point Nomination Western or English You must show in all designated Classes in
designated Discipline to be Considered for High Point
You may enter in both Disciplines. Over All High Point will be accumulated by both
Disciplines. Make sure your entry fee is paid for both Disciplines.
Points will be counted 6-1st Place, 5-2nd, 4-3rd, 3-4th,2-5th, 1-6th, regardless of class size
Gate Holds you may request Gate Hold for 1 minute
Proper Attire: Helmet and heeled boots are required for all riders regardless of age or
discipline. Proper attire of show chaps, show jacket or related clothing will be considered for
tie-breakers
Good sportsmanship/horsemanship skills must be demonstrated at all times
Mike Barber Award will be presented to a Western Rider and English Rider
Judge’s rule is final
Green Horse/Green Rider may not cross enter divisions
Open Classes are open to all Canter/Lope Divisions Points will be awarded to the Division.
No Stallions No exceptions!
Release forms must be signed before mounting.
Coggins and Rabies certificates within 1 year required.
Horse/Rider combo may only show with one number if you are riding a second horse you will
need a second number.
No schooling in field across the road or around the ring. Schooling during appropriate times
only. Times will be announced.
Western horses may not use martingales, tie downs, mechanical hackamores, drop nose
bands, draw reins, or leg wraps.
English Horses may not use side reins, or restraints as mentioned for Western.
Known kickers must wear red ribbons.
Karen of Aleah Leigh Photography will be on show grounds for pictures!
Under Vermont Law, an equine activity sponsor is not liable for an injury to, or the
death of, a participant in the equine activities resulting from the inherent risks of
equine activities that obvious and necessary, pursuant to 12 V.S.A. section 1039.
I understand that the sport of equine riding and drive in the inherently dangerous and that serious injury
or death can occur. I understand that participation in the equine activities involves necessary risks I
agree that in and injury occurs to my horses, or myself or to any equipment that may use or send to use,
I will make no claim against Hartland Riding Club or any of the officers, event management, volunteers,
club members, or Connie Tessier or any of the for mentioned heirs or insurance providers. I further
agree to hold Hartland Riding Club, the officers, event management, volunteers, club members, Connie
Tessier, landowners, and the for mentioned heirs or insurance providers free and harmless from any
liability, claims suits or dame ages of what so ever kind or nature that may be occasioned by the equine
used by me or the negligence of the person in charge of such equines and I agree to indemnify and hold
harmless this organization and individuals against all liability claims, suits and expenses including
attorney fees incurred arising out of any injury to any person or animal or damage to any property
caused by me, my equine, or attendants.
