May, 2015 - All the Good News from HRPS
Family Technology Night
A reminder that EQAO testing for Grades 3 and 6
will take place from May 25, 2015 to June 5, 2015.
If you have to schedule appointments, please try to
avoid doing so at this time. We appreciate your
support and encouragement and wish our students
well on the test. They have been working extremely
hard and will experience great success!!
Registrations Welcome!
Planning for the 2014-2015 school year is well under
way. We are still accepting JK/K registrations in
both the English and French Immersion programs.
If you know anyone in our school’s area who has not
registered their JK/SK child please have them
contact the school. Also, if your son/daughter will
not be attending Harwich Raleigh in September
please notify the school as this helps in the planning
of classroom organization.
Track and Field
Harwich Raleigh’s Track and Field Meet will be held
on Thursday, May 14, 2015 and the rain date will be
on Tuesday, May 19, 2015. Students are asked to
dress appropriately for the weather, layers are best.
Students are asked to have a labeled bottle of water
and should wear sunscreen and a hat. The track
events will start with the girls in the morning and
then the boys in the afternoon. Any parents who are
volunteering are asked to stop by the office to pick
up your track volunteer badge before coming out to
the back field. Any parents wishing to help out with
the track day or with food concessions are asked to
contact Mrs. Tinline. Good Luck to all our
participants as they have been practicing hard.
Concessions will be available.
When: May 4, 2015
Times: At 5:30 Pizza, pop, water and chip sales
begin.
At 6:00 p.m. the first set of technology stations start.
At 6:45 p.m. the second set of technology stations
begin.
Where: Various locations around the school
Come out and have a great time!

An H.R. Musical
Student Parliament
In April, Student Parliament had an Autism
Awareness Day and a Super Hero Day. Stay tuned
for more special events that will be occurring in May.
Intermediate Yearbook
The end of the year is quickly approaching and
yearbooks are in the final stages. Delivery is
expected around the end of June. The yearbook
committee has done an incredible job on them this
year and can't wait to share this wonderful memento
with their fellow grade 7 and 8 students! Ordering
information will be sent home later this month.
Grad News
Parent volunteers are vital to help prepare for
graduation. We will need volunteers to decorate the
showcases and Glad Tidings Church. We will also
need volunteers to organize the graduation
barbecue. Please contact Madelle Myers, Mrs.
Tinline or Mr. Jackson if you are able to help out.
Junior/Intermediate students will be creating and
performing a musical in place of a talent show this
year. More information about this event will come
as more of the details are sorted out.
