have lost a couple big ones this year. Are you able to step up? For more information, and/or to
donate a silent auction item, please contact Ingrid at [email protected]. March

So far, these amazing sponsors have, again, committed their time and money to producing the
crazy fun carnival your kids love:

Check the Lost and Found!
Parents:
Reminder to check the lost and found at both the Upper and Lower campus for your child’s
belongings. Everything will be bagged up after spring break and donated to a charity!
N0 ALC on March 26th
Because of Record keeping day and Spring Break, there will be no ALC After School classes for
both Lower and Upper Campuses on Thursday, March 26th. We will resume classes on Tuesday,
April 7th.
Chamber Music Recital - March 24, 7pm
We have an upcoming evening of Chamber Music performed by Middle School Band and
Orchestra students on March 24, 7pm.
Students have been working hard this quarter on playing chamber music (duets, trios, quartets,
etc). In addition to preparing the technical aspects of musical performance,, students are
working on making informed musical & aesthetic decisions for their ensembles, e.g. phrasing,
dynamics (how loud is loud?), cues, entrances, releases, etc. We have had several guest artists
in to help uproar us for this unit - starting with the Stiletto Brass performance this fall,
continuing with the Copper Street Brass, Julie Johnson and others. It’s a powerful unit and I look
forward to this event every year.
Ensembles have been asked to dress nicely; the standard ensemble Black and White is not
required for this performance.
Read & Vote Reminder!
March 17 & March 24
It's not too late to encourage your student to vote for their favorite books from the Maud Hart
Lovelace and/or Star of the North award programs. Books and ballots can be picked up from and
returned to the Media Center. Visit these pages for more information on the awards programs:
http://www.starofthenorthaward.org/ or http://www.maudhartlovelace.org/ Winners will be
