LEAGUE OF UPPER EXTREMITY WRESTLING WOMEN
LEAGUE OF UPPER EXTREMITY WRESTLING WOMEN OF DURHAM, LLC website: luewwd.com e-mail: [email protected] “Like” us on Facebook twitter: @ luewwd LUEWWD XII SPONSORSHIP LEVELS AND BENEFITS LUEWWD XII will be held on Saturday, April 25th, 2015. QORDS, a queer oriented summer camp, will be the beneficiary of our twelfth charitable ladies’ arm-wrestling event. By empowering Southern queer youth and building community through music, QORDS is a vehicle for expressing gender and sexuality, and harbors an environment of self-discovery and social change. QORDS is committed to promoting the creativity, confidence, leadership, and prosperity of southern youth queers. Funds raised via LUEWWD XII would directly support access to camp for female-identified Durham youth. LUEWWD makes every effort possible to ensure that all proceeds go directly to beneficiaries. The more sponsors we have, the more money can go directly to support those who identify as female. We have already secured in-kind donations of space and emcee and DJ talent (valued at $2,200) for LUEWWD XII. With your donation, your business will not only enjoy a visible presence at the event itself, but it will also be featured on the LUEWWD Web site and social media. There are also opportunities to sponsor a contestant with a minimum donation of $500. $100: recognition on thank you list posted at the event, on our website, and on social media profiles $300: previously listed, plus hang a banner at the venue $500: previously listed, plus sponsor a contestant (advertisement on the contestant, and recognition each time she gets on stage) For example, Jewelsmith sponsored the contestant Steel Magnolia at LUEWWD VIII: Industrial Strength and she was covered in sparkles. At the start of the event, she and her entourage entered with a Jewelsmith banner. Every time she came on stage, a special message was announced by our emcee about Jewelsmith. We were so appreciative of Jewelsmith’s enthusiasm for fundraising with ladies’ arm-wrestling. $1,000: previously listed, plus a 15 second live commercial on stage, business logo on the poster if submitted before it is printed, and two Ringside Seating tickets. If you do not want to do a live commercial, we’ll be happy to talk with you about other ways to incorporate your business into the event. For example, Moshi Moshi, a hair salon with locations in both Durham and Chapel Hill, gave LUEWWD a substantial donation in 2012. We now use a Moshi Moshi Stalemate Wheel at every event. If arm wrestling contestants reach a stalemate (i.e., 20 seconds of no progress), the wheel is spun and lands on a fun activity (e.g., hula-hooping, dance-off, thumb wrestling, full body rock-paper-scissors) used to determine the winner. To see poster examples or other ways we have acknowledged previous sponsors, visit luewwd.com. Thanks for your consideration of this request. We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to highlight your business and help QORDS! Please contact us at [email protected].
