CHURCH FAMILY – Prayer Notes
**Murray Dyk angioplasty procedure did not go ahead as planned due to complications, but doctors are
optimistic and plan to try the procedure again in a month or two. Pray that Murray can be at peace,
knowing that he is in the care of his Lord and the prayers of His people.
**We pray for Janet and Jake Bentum as they await the results of a CT scan performed this past week.
Doctors discovered cancer during a hysterectomy two months ago, but a scope last week showed her
stomach clear of cancer. We hope and pray for the Lord's healing, and for peace of heart and mind.
**Symen DeBoer is back home after doctors have told him there is little they can do for his lymphoma,
which has returned, only months after chemotherapy and stem cell treatments. Symen and Alie are
encouraged by our prayers, and we continue to ask God to give healing and comfort.
**Liz Sikma sustained a broken bone in her hand last Sunday morning while falling on an icy sidewalk on
her way to church. She has been wearing a cast and awaiting word from doctors about whether surgery
might be needed. We pray for health, rest, and a speedy recovery!
**Due to their health, Mrs. Jacoba Batterink, Mr. Andy Berghuis, Mrs. Anna DeJager, Mr. & Mrs. Hank &
Jean Meyer, Mrs. Tina Schut, Mr. & Mrs. Klaas & Liz Slik and Mr. Albert Wesselink are unable to join us
for worship services. Please support them with prayer and encouragement.
All that we are and all that we have is a gift from God! Think of your family, your friends, your
talents and abilities – these are all gifts from God. We aren’t really owners of anything, we are
merely “stewards” of the gifts God has blessed us with.
April 14 – Mr. Jack Pool
April 21 – Mrs. Lammy DeRuiter

TODAY IS REFUGEE SUNDAY!
The Christian Reformed Church in Canada has a long history of mirroring the love of God by
serving as “a refuge for the oppressed” (Psalm 9:9) through World Renew's refugee sponsorship
ministry. By praying for and supporting refugee families today, you are continuing this powerful
ministry of mercy. Thank you! With the growing refugee crisis, the needs are great—but so are
the opportunities. Please prayerfully consider how you and your church can offer hospitality and
hope to families forced from their country because of threats to their personal safety. For more
information about sponsoring a refugee and World Renew's refugee justice resources, go to
