June 29 – July 31, 2015
HANDS ON is our annual showcase of local arts and crafts, this year held from June 29 to July 31
in the Manawaka Gallery. Whether you are a seasoned artist or whether you have never shown
anyone your talents before, you are welcome to submit up to three pieces of art, in any
medium, to the exhibition. Artwork must be dropped off at the VCC by June 26.

The VCC will handle sales on behalf of the artist and will retain 35% commission on all
sales. These sales will be paid by the VCC to the artist 2 weeks after the exhibition is
over.
The Artist is responsible for having the work in appropriate condition for the exhibition.
The VCC uses hooks for installation, so framing and hanging accessories must be
appropriate for that system.
The Artist is responsible for arranging transportation of their own work to be delivered
to the VCC and picked up from the VCC at the start and end of the exhibition.
The work will be delivered by June 26, and picked up by August 7. If this cannot be done,
further arrangements will be discussed between the VCC and the Artist.
The Artist is responsible for insurance for the duration of the exhibition, including
transportation and storage. Please be advised that the VCC does not carry insurance for
artwork. It is responsibility of the artist to have a rider placed on their insurance policy.
All required artwork information should be included on this form as well as on the back
of each work submitted.
I am aware of the guidelines and regulations set by the VCC for the HANDS ON exhibition and
that all the information provided is correct.
