Group Facilitator and Resource Connector
(Full Time)
A new Parent Link Centre, operated by Norwood Child and Family Resource Centre, will be providing support to families within Central
Edmonton. Services and supports will be offered using a holistic approach that addresses the many and complex needs of
families in the community. The main focus is on programming for parents and children utilizing a strength based
approach.
In this position, you will be responsible for relationship building with families and community resources, group program
facilitation, program development as identified by community/family needs, and providing information and supported
referrals to community resources and programs.
The position requires a flexible work schedule that includes evening and weekend shifts and is based on a
35 hour work week.
The successful candidate will have:












Education in Early Childhood Development, Education or the Human Services Field
At least 3 years experience in group facilitation
Extensive experience working with children and families from diverse cultural and socio-economic
backgrounds
Knowledge of community resources
Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills
Strong knowledge of early child development and parenting skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Solid computer proficiency in word, outlook and excel
The ability to work both independently and within a large team
A current First Aid certification
A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
Triple P and ASQ training are definite assets
