Biomedical and Health Sciences, Director of the Rutgers Urban Health and Wellness Institute,
and the Hunterdon Endowed Chair in Interprofessional Education at Robert Wood Johnson
Medical School.

Director of the Institute on Ethnicity, Culture, and the Modern Experience at Rutgers-Newark.

Dr. Cheryl clarke is an award winning poet and author of four books of poetry:
Narratives: Poems In The Tradition Of Black Women (1982), Living As A Lesbian (1986),
Humid Pitch (1989), and Experimental Love (1993). Her book, After Mecca: Women Poets and
the Black Arts Movement was published by Rutgers University Press in 2005.
