lobsterman and storyteller, as he reminisces and shares family
stories and poems of Bonney Quinn, along with Dennis Damon
sharing Ruth Moore and more, plus the island’s own Brian
Robbins on tall tales and guitar.

Hailing from Michigan, these 29 high school talents are making
a stop in Stonington during their 2015 summer tour. Their
fusion of folk, bluegrass, mountain music, western swing,

THE FAT KNIGHT
It’s not the Gala, but you can catch some of the action at the
Burnt Cove Church in these two nights of appearances by
soprano Suzanne Nance and tenor John McVeigh. A unique
evening mixing classical arias with popular standards. Music
by Lehar, Cole Porter, Monteverdi, Noel Coward, Strauss and
more.

KNEISEL HALL CONCERT
A free concert by the students of the internationally renowned
Kneisel Hall Chamber Music School in Blue Hill. FREE
Energy, wit, music, and wisdom are the stock in trade of
Jackson Gillman, a.k.a. The Stand-Up Chameleon. Jackson
incorporates comedy, drama, music, dance, mime, and sign
language into his own intimate style of theater, and is OHA’s
2015 Guest Artist at Island Arts Camp.

CAROLYN SURRICK—BETWEEN WAR AND HERE
A very special event: Cellist Carolyn Surrick brought the gift of
music to wounded combat vets and their families at Walter Reed
military hospital. In this collections of poems and music, she offers
insight into the lives of those brave souls who have served our
country, and been forever changed by the experience.

OHA again takes drama to the streets of Stonington in this
oceanside, site specific performance of Chekhov’s dark comedy.
Explore the late-19th century lives of those on a rural Russian
estate as they form love triangles and confront the pressures of a
changing world. In Chekhov, the only thing you can count on is
life not turning out the way it’s supposed to. Limited seating.
