STUDENT OF THE MONTH: ALLAN FABARA
We often see kids grow up here at PMA and it’s a
pleasure and an honor to take part in their growth and
development. Allan Fabara has been at PMA since
2012, since he was 5 years old. With 3 years of
martial arts training under his belt right now, Allan has
become a leader among his peers and continues to
get better with each and every training session.
He is currently in the Lil Warrior BBC program and his
rank is Orange/Brown Belt. Allan has really come a
long way since his start at the school. “We have seen
Allan come in as this shy, quiet and timid kid and
today he is full of confidence and really able to lead a
group.”, Ms. Kathy says. She continues to say, “He
works hard in each and every class to get better and
his focus and discipline is always sharp. He never
fools around.” Allan’s favorite part about training are the 1-2 drills
that Mr. Tony has implemented. When asked why all
kids should do martial arts, Allan says, “So they can
defend themselves from bad people.” His current
goals within training are to achieve his Green Belt and
move into the Warrior Program.
Outside of of PMA, Allan attends PS 26 and is in the 3rd grade. HIs favorite subject is Math. He also
enjoys rock climbing, soccer and playing with his friends. Keep up the awesome work, Allan!
APRIL’S POWERFUL WORD OF THE MONTH:
GRATITUDE
Gratitude means:
I am so thankful!
Appreciating, recognizing, and being thankful for that you have.
Grateful + Attitude = Gratitude!

ST. JUDE KICK-A-THON: FRIDAY, APRIL 24 Each year, we host a
fundraising Kick-A-Thon for
St. Jude Children’s
Research Hospital.
Since 2006, our efforts have
raised over $20,000 for this
wonderful cause and we hope
to continue our giving this
year.
PMA Youth students are
receiving donation envelopes
as well as a letter describing
the event. Please try and
gather as many donations as
you can. You can either donate
online at:
http://fundraising.stjude.org/site/TR/Events/Events?fr_id=35255&pg=entry
Or submit your donations the day of the event. Adults PMA students are welcome
to donate online or at the school throughout the month of April.
That night, we are also inviting PMA youth students to bring a buddy to participate
in the kick-a-thon and then a fun-filled game night thereafter. A raffle will also be
taking place. Raffle tickets are earned by bringing a buddy (each buddy will be
worth 5 raffle tickets). Prizes are always really cool and each year, the kids are
always amazed at what we have to offer!
Let’s do the best donation amount ever this year!
