Setting Up AvaTax Customer Code
Determine if your organization already has a custom field used to store an
AvaTaxCustomerCode. It is a customer ID used by Avalara. If you already
have a field that stores this ID by this exact name, you can skip these
steps. If you do not, follow the bullet below that applies:

If you already have a field that stores Avalara customer ID but it is
not called “AvaTaxCustomerCode,” create a formula field called
AvaTaxCustomerCode with a formula that redisplays the value in
your existing field. For example, if your existing custom field on
Accounts is called “AvaTax ID,” create a formula field called
AvaTax for QuoteQuickly

Quick Install Guide

“AvaTax_ID__c.”
