Gymnastics School
Participation is open to girls in grades 2-9, as of September 2015. The program provides instruction to girls with no previous gymnastics
training through USAG level 7. Registration begins on April 1.
Dates: Session 1: June 29, 30 July 1, 2 (4 days) @12:45-3:45pm
Session 2: July 27, 28, 29, 30, 31 (5 days) @12:45-3:45pm
Session 3: Aug. 24, 25, 26, 27 (4 days) @1:00-4:00pm
Place: John A. Anderson Recreation Center 111 N. Oceanside Rd., Rockville Centre
Tuition: Resident of RVC: Gr. 2-9 $145 for sessions 1 and 3 ~ $180 for session 2
Non-resident: Gr. 2-9 $157 for sessions 1 and 3 ~ $195 for session 2
COMBO FEE: 2 GYMNASTICS SCHOOL SESSIONS:
Sessions 1 and 3: $275 residents / $305 non-residents
Sessions (1 and 2) or (2 and 3): $300 residents / $335 non-residents
Payment may be made in cash, check (payable to Village of RVC), and MasterCard or VISA. Submit completed registration form, any pertinent medical
information and fee to above address. Full or partial payment is due upon registration- installment plans can be arranged. Full payment must be made
before program begins. NO REFUNDS!
Attire: Gymnasts must wear a leotard with or without spandex shorts; hair must be tied back and jewelry of any
kind is not allowed! We encourage girls to bring a water bottle.
OUTLINE OF THE PROGRAM: Students will be grouped by grade, evaluated by our staff and then regrouped based upon ability level
and experience. The daily instructional program will stress the fundamentals of gymnastics and related dance skills. Instruction will
follow the guidelines of USA Gymnastics. Students will also learn basic fundamentals of routine composition. All participants should
bring a snack and beverage.
Program Coordinator: HEATHER KNOCH has completed her second year as Gymnastics Program Coordinator, with 12 years
as a gymnastics instructor. Heather “grew up” in our program, and her expertise has been enhanced by attendance at USA Gymnastics
seminars and the International Gymnastics camp. Heather is a licensed elementary educator.
