WE ARE
The Kansas City Roller Warriors, LLC is KC’s premier all-female flat track
roller derby league. What started 10 years ago as an alternative underground
game driven by a do-it-yourself ethos has grown to become a distinct sport
that’s captured the hearts of men and women across the globe. As one of the
original members of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association, KCRW has
played an active role in helping the sport grow world-wide—and we’re just
getting warmed up.
OUR MISSION
To foster a positive, hardworking sisterhood that empowers women and girls
to be healthy, confident athletes, role models, leaders, and active contributors
to our community both on and off the track.

KCRW BY THE NUMBERS
• KCRW All Stars are an internationally-ranked Division 1 travel team
• Plan B is a regional travel team
• KCRW is divided into four home teams—the BlackEye Susans, Dreadnought Dorothys, Knockouts, Victory Vixens
• The Junior Warriors include 60 skaters ages 10-17
• Warriors in Training include 30-40 recreational skaters
• 80 premier-league skaters
• 50+ volunteers
• Home bouts bring in an average attendance of approximately 2,000 people
• Bouts garner 12,000+ (1,000 12 and under) attendees annually
DID YOU KNOW?
• The Kansas City Roller Warriors (KCRW) were
founded in June 2004 by Brooke Leavitt (Dirty Britches) and Mandy Durham (Princess Anna Conda).
• The league is skater owned and operated, with skaters working at all levels of business.
• Skaters wear quad speed skates and are required to
wear protective helmet, mouth guard, wrist guards,
and knee and elbow pads.
• Member of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA), the international governing body for
the sport of women’s flat track roller derby.
• KCRW All Stars was 2007 WFTDA National Champions, 2010 WFTDA South Central Region Champions,
and 2015 WFTDA D2 Cleveland Tournament Champions. They are consistently high in WFTDA rankings.
• League memebers are proud to donate time and
money to area non-profit organizations.
• Media oultlets have included: WDAF-TV Fox 4,
KMBC-TV ABC, KSHB 38 the Spot, KMCI-TV NBC,
Metro Sports, KCTV 4, Cable Channel 6 – Lawrence,
The Lawrence Journal-World, The Kansas City Star,
The Dispatch-Tribune and The Pitch. Skaters also have
been guests on several radio shows, including the
Johnny Dare Show on 98.9 The Rock.
