Organised with the working arborist and forestry professional in mind, this show really should have
something for everyone:
Climb a Landmark Challenge
The Climb a Landmark Challenge will be a registered charity event to raise money
for Help for Heroes. The aim of the challenge is to climb the equivalent height of
various well-known landmarks using multiple fixed-line ascents to a point set at
50ft within the tree canopy. There is something for all levels of climber; from the
Parthenon (1 ascent) to the Taj Mahal (11 ascents) to the Shard (20 ascents), so
set your sights as high as you like!
Latest in arb and forestry technology
Visitors will be treated to a great range of exhibitors offering the chance to see, test
and buy the best new products available. Featuring chippers, saws, stump grinders,
insurance and more shiny things than you can shake a stick at!
Axe-throwing competition
Channel your inner Viking Warrior and try your luck in our axe-throwing competition. That's right
- take your stress out on a defenceless target, feel better and oddly primeval at the same time
(horned helmet optional).
Not only can you win the kudos of being the most skilled axe warrior and do your bit for charity,
but there will be prizes for the winner from each day.
Seminars and workshops
There will be a wide range of expert seminars and workshops provided by the Arb
Association covering subjects such as P&D – current UK problems (Paul Smith), Rigging
Updates and Techniques (Kevin Moore), How to make your business better (Paul Elcoat) and
The ‘ARB Approved Contractor’ Scheme(Paul Smith).
See the show website for the full list with details of times and how to book your place.
On-site camping and
evening entertainment
Free camping is available on-site, but please use the booking form on the
show website so we can manage numbers.
There will be evening entertainment with a bonfire on the Friday
evening from approximately 7pm. The bar will be open until midnight(ish)
and there will be a DJ on site to help liven things up; if it's anything like
last year, it will be worth staying on for!
