Spring Has Sprung in Your Backyard!
Whether you place it in your yard or
mount it to your deck, this secure

Did you see it? Is it out there? Has spring
shown up in your yard? Bulbs popping
out of the ground. Buds forming on the
branches of the trees...and most of all
songbirds singing their songs. That is my
favorite part. When the birds begin to
sing I know that baby birds being fed at
my feeders will be along soon.
Every year we see the renewal of life
taking place in our own backyards and
we should take a minute to pat ourselves
on the back for being a helper to mother
nature. We kept our feeders full during
the long snowy winter and we cleaned
out our nesting boxes to be ready for
new nests to be built. We did our part to
help the birds survive a very snowy and
cold winter and now we get to enjoy the
show. There is currently the "courtship
show" but soon there will be the "show off
the new babies show." I love watching the
adult birds bring their babies to my
feeders to be fed. This is one of the
toughest months of the year for birds to
find food because many people believe
that they can fend for themselves once
winter is over. Actually most of the
natural food sources are very depleted
this time of year and new seeds and
grubs have yet to appear.
So keep your feeders full of fresh seed
and you will be rewarded by the color
and beauty of your own backyard show.

orioles are heading our way this month.
