Extira is a hardwood composite manufactured by CMI. CMI is a Chicago based
manufacturer of CraftMaster Door Designs and finished doors, MiraTEC
Exterior Composite Trim and Extira Panels. The company's state-of-the-art
manufacturing facility in Towanda, PA., has a 38 year history of producing high
quality building products for the commercial, industrial and residential
markets.
The Gingerbread Man has done extensive research and testing to find the right
material for our Decorative Exterior products (Gingerbread). Extira has
consistently outperformed all other products. The support and assistance we
receive from CMI is outstanding. They have proven to be a company that stands
beside their customers to answer questions and find solutions to any and all
issues.

Corner Brackets, Porch Post Brackets, Gingerbread Brackets...
Break up the "square" with some creativity.
A bracket with a straight side and top is a "framed style", when there
is no fully flat line on the side and top it is "unframed". Some patterns
have a wider piece of material on the sides, this we call a nailer or
backer. Nailers can be added to any style bracket.
All Gingerbread comes unprimed and needs to be predrilled prior to
installation. We include instructions in every shipment.

CB-01 This is an "unframed" type of victorian bracket.
The cutout shape has no continuous flat line.
CB-02 is a great example of a "framed" bracket.

Layered brackets have a lot of dimension to them. The layers allow us to add details and
elements to them that we cannot do with single layer brackets. The overall thickness of the
pattern is 2 ¼" with the nailer being 2 ½"

Porch Brackets
Pierced Panel Brackets are great for softening and opening or pass thru. The length
can be added to for a continuous line. As you can see any pattern can be cut out of
the panel area.

Porch Post Face Bracket. You would place these on the front
side of your porch posts. They are longer than most brackets to
reach farther down the post. These can also be scaled for
window trim. This is one area we will be adding more to.

Highly detailed Porch Face Brackets. Great for when the house is in a
high visibility area. Recessed detail on the sides adds interest. Detail on
the front is called a ruffle. These brackets are applied to the face of the
porch post.
Can also be used for repeating cornice corbels. Roof pitch can be
designed in and sizes can be modified.

Gable ornaments can make the most dramatic change in the look of a home.
The "AG-01 and 02" are considered adjustable. We make these in three pieces
and the angle is trimmed in the field. We cut all other gable ornaments to the
pitch given to us by our customer. To measure for a gable ornament you need
to measure down each side from the peak 36" on each side. Make a mark.

Measure carefully, pitches other than standard pitch are non-returnable.
It is your responsibility for the correct pitch.
When gable ornaments are shipped they will be in 2 or more pieces. Some
assembly in the field is required.

Sawn Balusters define the good old comfortable feel of a Home. From grandmas farm house to
the Florida Keys, they wrap around porches and balconies. Our sawn baluster patterns span the
late 1800's to contemporary design. Pick and choose and tell me what you want.
Patterns in the works include..... Tropical fish, a Chicken, Hearts and anything else my clumsy
old hands can draw.
