SUBARU GRAND OPENING IS A COMMUNITY AFFAIR!
Galpin Subaru’s grand opening party was a family affair enjoyed by thousands of
Santa Clarita Valley families, hosted by Bert and Jane Boeckmann and their family,
and catered by Galpin’s Horseless Carriage Restaurant. As Galpin Vice President
Beau Boeckmann stated in his welcoming remarks: “This day is all about having
fun in our community!” And fun it was! Held on a beautiful Santa Clarita Saturday
afternoon (Oct. 8), the Galpin Subaru Grand Opening featured spectacular games and attractions, along with a
ribbon cutting ceremony attended by political VIPs, beauty queens, the Chamber of Commerce and L.A. media.
Galpin Honda’s 5th anniversary was something to truly cheer about – in just five years,
the Mission Hills dealership grew from being a brand new store with zero customers to
becoming one of the fastest growing Honda dealerships in history, and is already the #2
Honda dealer in California! The 5th anniversary party was a dazzling community event with
family fun, great food, an outdoor go-cart track by MB2 Raceway, and enough carnival

Tony Hawk, GAS and DUB collaborated on building this awesome Tony
Hawk Edition Explorer. The Explorer was auctioned off among other
silent auction items at a Las Vegas fundraising event on November 5th,
raising a total of $640,000 to help build public skateparks in the US.
Tony said, “We also had some truly unique auction items that helped to
raise good money for more skateparks. My kids had a blast!”

Customizing legend George Barris was driven by GAS’ Dave Shuten
in Barris’ original Batmobile at Cruisin’ for a Cure, the world’s largest
1-day charity car show, benefiting City of Hope’s work to find a cure for
prostate cancer. GAS displayed 10 cars in the 2011 show.
Galpin Aston Martin provided a new DBS for Scott Elrod (front row
center), who used the vehicle as a unique prop for his “Quick Tips on
Winning in Life” presentation to a group of youngsters. Scott appeared
on behalf of Racers Who Care. The youngsters were special guests of
the LAPD Pacific Division Deputy Auxiliary Police.

The goal for the Evora RTR was to take a stock 2011 2+2 Lotus Evora Coupe and redesign it as a street-legal version of the Lotus Type 124
track car. To begin, the front splitter, side sill extensions and rear wing uprights on the exterior were custom machined from aluminum and
powder-coated black. The door mirror caps and wing tips were also subjected to the same treatment. Be sure to look out for the wingtips that
incorporate a Union Jack GAS logo! The rear horizontal wing, which incorporates the original high-level brake light, is finished
from fiberglass epoxy and painted to match the Quartz Silver body. GAS also added vinyl black racing stripes and door decals.
Sector 111 supplied the 19”/20” Evora Monza Wheels (direct from Italy), which are finished in a flat black paint and paired with
Hankook tires. The Flowmaster exhaust system gives it a throaty growl and moves the peak horsepower closer to 300HP. For
the interior, GAS added Alcantara seat inserts in a light gray color to match the Alcantara headliner. This award winning Lotus
Evora has been transformed into the ultimate special edition street-legal, race inspired Evora!

Inspired by the original 1969 Boss 429, this pony was created by GAS specifically for SPX and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and is to be auctioned
off for charity at the Barrett-Jackson 2012 Scottsdale auction. Featuring a GAS custom built all-metal wide body, this special edition 2012 Mustang is a
whopping nine inches wider than the stock Mustang, making plenty of room for the massive three-piece Forgiato 22×14 rear and 21×11 front GTR wheels
and 335/25/22 rear and 295/25/21 front Pirelli P-Zero Rosso tires. To complement the vehicle’s aggressive stance and design, a Ford Racing supercharger
boosts engine performance to more than 700HP. Inside features an SPX Sunpro gauge pod kit, SPX Sunpro tachometer and shift light, Hurst short shifter,
custom red suede and black leather seats and door panels, black suede headliner and custom Pony embroidered headrests.
The SPX Mustang also features BOSS-style functional rear scoops, custom sealed rear quarter windows, a 429 BOSS hood
scoop, a CDC modified front spoiler, Laguna Seca rear spoiler, Bassani Performance exhaust system, Ford Racing performance
suspension kit, custom formulated PPG 3-stage Candy Apple Red paint, and a custom built 1000-watt JL Audio system with
LED accent lighting. GAS is honored to be part of this awesome project, which benefits such a worthy cause!

GAS was inspired to build the ultimate BOSS 302. Starting out with an already beefy 2012 BOSS 302, GAS gave it an extra 9 inches with a custom
one-of-a-kind handmade all metal wide body that takes this awesome vehicle to a whole new level. Once painted with a GAS designed special oneof-a-kind Matte Orange Pearl PPG paint with custom painted black BOSS graphics, GAS added a custom-built ProCharger supercharger kit to bring
this already impressive vehicle over 780HP! Now to put the power to the ground, one-off massive one-piece forged Forgiato wheels were wrapped
in Pirelli 335/30/20 rear and 295/35/20 racing compound front tires. A Borla attack exhaust, Stoptech vented and grooved front and rear rotors,
Brembro front calipers, Ford Racing lowering springs, Laguna Seca rear wing and Extreme front air dam, and custom
sealed rear quarter windows round out the exterior. Inside features a 6-point roll cage painted to match the exterior paint
of the car, BOSS 302-X custom embroidered racing seats and a Laguna Seca gauge pod. For the finishing touch, GAS
custom painted a racing helmet that also matches the car!

injection system providing a real boost in performance to 420HP! The exterior is decked out
with black vinyl racing stripes and custom painted black wheels with pinstriping detail. The

Paying homage to one of the fastest trucks ever built, the Ford Lightning, GAS created the THUNDER! GAS set out to build a truck that performs like
a sports car. What started as a 2011 F-150 regular cab short bed with 365HP turned into a beast of a truck, thanks to a Magnusun Supercharger
that kicks out 540HP! After painting it with a one-of-a-kind GAS-designed Dark Amethyst paint blended with a metallic finish by PPG, GAS then
added Air Ride Technologies’ four-link rear suspension to keep the power to the ground. Other custom features include a Street Scene front fascia,
Street Scene Euro sport mirrors, Ram air hood, hard tonneau cover with spoiler, custom T-Rex grille, Street Scene rear roll pan and custom bed rug.
Putting the exclamation point on styling, GAS installed a custom Flowmaster side-exiting exhaust system. Thunder sits on
22-inch Forgiato 3-piece forged Barra wheels with 305/40/22 rear and 275/45/22 front Pirelli tires. Of course, a truck this
fast needs a sporty interior, so GAS added a Laguna Seca gauge pod kit, custom leather and suede bolstered seats with
matching two-tone suede headliner and custom center console. There’s no doubt that you can feel this asphalt-pounding
race machine coming!

Galpin Auto Sports set out to demonstrate its design and audio prowess with this exotic - yet tough - custom 2012 Explorer. It features a
completely custom one-of-a-kind Matte Bruised Blue pearl paint designed by GAS and mixed by PPG. Matching matte finished headlights
and taillights, modified roof rack, and custom fabricated grille complement the paint scheme. Bringing it closer to the ground, GAS lowered
this Explorer with Eibach springs and sat it on 24-inch Savini Wheels with Pirelli tires. A jaw dropping complete custom interior features
custom leather seats with genuine Stingray inserts. Matching leather and suede door panels complement the custom
suede headliner. The insane surround sound system features 26 individual JL Audio speakers wrapped in LED trim
which pump out 2000 watts! To top it off, GAS installed InVision DVD headrest monitors and an iPad that controls
everything electronic including the 360-degree camera protecting you from the paparazzi!

GAS is attacking the streets with this 2012 Focus ATK. It started with GAS designing and fabricating a complete custom
fascia and body kit. Next, GAS created a one-of-a-kind Matte Alchemy Grey paint, coated with metallic gold pearl by
PPG; which shifts color with each look. This head turning paint job is complemented by frosted taillights and Gloss
Black accents and badges. Finishing off the exterior are Eibach lowering springs, a Borla exhaust system, 3d Carbon
rear spoiler and gold powder coated Monotech 19x8.5 wheels with Vredestein tires. Once you
open the door, you are blown away by a complete custom Katzkin leather and suede interior and a
crisp sound system powered by JL Audio, featuring two 8W7s, two digital amplifiers and four 6 ½”
speakers housed in a custom enclosure. This is the new breed of street machine!

In just 8 weeks, GAS and Galpin’s Classic Auto Service took a 1968 “junk yard dog” and created an awesome custom. First, the team
completely dismantled the car, then refurbished, rebuilt and modified each and every component of the vehicle. Powering this custom is
a Barrington Engines custom BOSS 351 engine producing roughly 450HP, backed up by an original Ford 4-speed transmission rebuilt
and modified for road racing. Power is transmitted through a Currie 9-inch rear end with heavy-duty axles and 3:89 Trac-Lok. The vehicle
also incorporates a Total Control Products coil over front suspension system, Maeco Motorsports modified road racing rear suspension

To stop the machine, Galpin’s Classic Auto Service and GAS installed a Wilwood 4-wheel disc brake system. The
interior features a custom roll cage, Scat Elite bucket seats with a 5-point racing seatbelt system, and to keep it
old school, a factory original AM radio. This creation has gone from scrap yard to custom show car!

Ed “Big Daddy” Roth’s
Ed “Big Daddy” Roth’s “Tweedy Pie” is one of the most recognized T-Buckets in history, selling over 11 million model kits
and counting since 1963! Tweedy Pie is a 1923 Ford Model T on a ‘32 Ford chassis, featuring some of Roth’s earliest
pinstriping. It runs a Chevy 265 V8 with 6 Stromberg 97 carbs, Ford 3-speed trans and a banjo rear end. Owned for over
40 years by the Lavoy family, Tweedy Pie was sold in 2006 to Larry Tarantolo, who lightly restored it along with fellow Roth
aficionado, Dave Shuten of Galpin Auto Sports. Much to everyone’s surprise, it was then thrust back
into the public eye at the 2006 Detroit AutoRama, where Ed “Big Daddy” Roth was honored as the
featured builder of the year. Tweedy Pie is now at home at Galpin with the largest collection of Ed
Roth’s custom creations and memorabilia!

Roadsters to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the legendary E-Type Jaguar! This one-of-a-kind new 2011 Jaguar
XK Roadster was painted to match our classic Primrose colored vintage E-Type Jaguar sports car, which is part of
Galpin’s private collection. In addition to the exterior Primrose paint, the interior wood trim has been color-matched to
enhance the vintage effect on the new Jaguar XK. A black chrome treatment was also applied to the factory chrome
trim and 20” wheels.

This 2012 Shelby Mustang Super Snake strikes with a mean 1000HP! GAS took this monster and made it even meaner!
GAS cut it up and made it a custom all-metal wide body Shelby adding 9 inches to its waist and including a one-off
handmade Shelby suspension and chassis bracing. In addition, GAS applied a custom black paint with custom painted
Tungsten Grey racing stripes. GAS equipped this beast with custom made brushed aluminum Forgiato GTR lightweight
3-piece wheels with Super Snake insignia and Pirelli 335/30/20 rear and 295/35/20 racing compound
front tires. Staying true to the old school, GAS sealed up the rear quarter windows. The Shelby was
loud, but not loud enough, so GAS added electric exhaust cutouts to finish up this beast of a Shelby.

The 2011 V12 Vantage coupe has been called the “fastest and most agile Vantage ever”; this one has been upgraded by GAS to include
a White Pearl Paint scheme with a flat matte finish which is carried over to incorporate the central veneer of the cockpit. Slick black
paint has been applied to the front grille and chrome window surrounds. The interior factory styling complements the stunning exterior
color with a Chancellor Red Semi-Aniline Leather and Alcantara finish. Gorgeous carbon fiber pieces from the Vantage Collection are
also incorporated into the exterior door mirror caps, side sills, exterior side strakes, enhanced rear lip spoiler, interior upper door caps,
and the three engine strut braces under the hood! The Flowmaster free-flowing exhaust system enhances the
exhaust note over and above the factory system and adds approximately 10HP to the overall performance.
Forgiato custom 20” Aggio 5-spoke wheels are finished in Matte Black and paired with a set of super sticky
Pirelli tires. With this supercar you get it all - performance, handling and styling!

Taking a page out of Volvo racing history, this turbocharged 2011 S60 T6 is rated at 300 horsepower and gives 325
pound-feet of torque. Its custom classic pastel blue PPG paint designed by GAS, R-design front and rear bumpers,
custom grille and diffuser all give it the Volvo European racing feel. GAS painted all the exterior trim, including the
center roof panel, gloss black. To give it an aggressive stance, GAS also added Heico lowering springs and
Forgiato three-piece lightweight 20-inch wheels and BF Goodrich KW2 tires. The interior features custom
blue leather seats with French stitching and piping that match the exterior. A custom suede headliner and
dark navy custom carpet round out this gorgeous Volvo!
