Motorists Are
Warned To Watch

Submitted by North Dakota Game & Fish Dept.
Motorists are reminded to watch for deer along roadways,
HVSHFLDOO\WKLVWLPHRI\HDUEHFDXVHMXYHQLOHDQLPDOVDUHGLVpersing from their home ranges.
October through early December is the peak period for
deer-vehicle accidents. Motorists are advised to slow down and
exercise caution after dark to reduce the likelihood of encounters
with deer along roadways. Most deer-vehicle accidents occur
primarily at dawn and dusk when deer are most often moving
around.
Motorists should be aware of warning signs signaling deer
are in the area. When you see one deer cross the road, look for
a second or third deer to follow. Also, pay attention on roadways
posted with Deer Crossing Area caution signs.
'HHUYHKLFOHDFFLGHQWVDUHDWWLPHVXQDYRLGDEOH,IDQDFcident does happen, motorists are reminded that a law passed
by the 2013 state legislature eliminates the need for the driver
involved in an accident to notify law enforcement authorities, if

Montana State Parks Seeks Public
Comment On Hell Creek State Park
Master Site/Management Plan
Submitted by Montana FWP
Montana State Parks announced today that it is seeking
public comment on the Hell Creek State Park Draft Master Site/
Management Plan. Public Comments are due by Wed., Nov.
25, 2015 at 5 p.m.
Hell Creek State Park is an important recreation area located on the Fort Peck Reservoir, near Jordan, MT. The area is

As the popularity of the park has grown, so has the demand
on natural resources, infrastructure and agency management.
Montana State Parks developed the draft site/management plan
in order to identify management and infrastructure challenges,

site. On Oct. 15, 2015, the Montana State Parks & Recreation
Board approved the draft site/management plan to be submitted
for public comment. The draft plan proposes three options for
consideration.
Option #1: Address the existing site infrastructure needs,
make priority improvements and continue to manage the site
and concession beyond the current Army Corps of Engineers
(ACOE) Agreement end date of April 2021 with a new contract
or extension. This is the preferred alternative.
Option #2: Address the existing site infrastructure needs,
