22 year old Jacob Collier is recognised as one of the world's most distinctive,
inventive and prodigious young musicians. Based in London, Jacob's music
combines elements of Jazz, A cappella, Groove, Folk, Triphop, Classical music,
Brazilian music, Gospel, Soul and Improvisation (to name a few), all of which
culminate to create the world of 'Jacob Collier'.
Jacob has embraced the world of the internet to share his uniquely creative talent,
becoming best known for creating his trademark multifaceted YouTube videos from his
music room at home, wherein he sings all the parts, plays all the instruments, and
visualises every component with a mosaic of screens.
Since his first YouTube upload in December 2011, Jacob's online social channels have
garnered over 62K international subscribers and more than 6 million views and earned
him a global following. Some of his greatest fans are among the elite Jazz community and

Let's Get Deluxe, the third album on Basho Records from transatlantic contemporary jazz
supergroup The Impossible Gentlemen, captures a substantial but organic evolution in the
group's sound. Co-leaders Mike Walker and Gwilym Simcock consciously moved to
broaden the instrumental palette at the earliest stages of the writing process, using
melodies and counter melodies to create an intricate narrative.

Over the past two decades, Grammy award-winning singer, songwriter, guitarist and
contemporary blues artist, Keb' Mo', has cultivated a reputation as being a modern
master of American roots music through the understated excellence of his live and
studio performances.

In his newest release, Keb' Mo' 'Live-That Hot Pink Blues Album', Keb' Mo' delivers some of
his best material in the most authentic form, through live recordings.
Recorded throughout the past year while on tour, and produced by Casey Wasner, the
double-disc album features 16 live recorded songs from Keb' Mo's extensive catalogue.
Several of the tracks are songs off his most recent album, BLUESAmericana, which
garnered Keb' Mo' a 2015 Blues Music Award from the Blues Foundation, three 2015
Grammy award nominations and multiple other achievements.
A portion of the proceeds from the album will be donated to Playing For Change
Foundation, an organization Keb' has been involved with since it's inception.
Drummer/singer/writer/producer and multi-instrumentalist Casey Wasner is a self-taught
musician whose passion for music led him from his native Minnesota to Nashville, where
he honed his craft and connected with musicians who recognized his many talents both on
stage and in the studio. He has been an integral part of the recording and production
process for the last two Keb’ Mo’ releases, including the new live record.
Bassist Stan Sargeant, who got his start in Los Angeles, has supported an impressive list of
musicians over the years, both live and in the studio. Bobby Caldwell, Peter White, Keiko
Matsui, Dolly Parton, Mindi Abair, Leonard Cohen, David Benoit, Barry Manilow and Al
Jarreau are just a few of the many names on Sargeant’s lengthy resume, and he also
served as the in-house band bassist for The Howie Mandel Show and The Tonight Show.
Keyboardist/guitarist/singer/songwriter Michael B. Hicks is a staple on the Nashville funk
and soul music scene and is a 5 time recipient of a Nashville Independent Music Award.

Johnny Fuller was a West Coast blues singer and guitarist. Fuller showed musical diversity,
performing in several musical genres including rhythm and blues, gospel and rock and roll. His
distinctive singing and guitar playing appeared on a number of 1950s San Francisco Bay Area
recordings. His best known recording, "Haunted House", was later covered with some success
by Jumpin' Gene Simmons.
His musical styling often masked his upbringing in the Deep South, but he spent the majority of
his life in the San Francisco Bay Area. As such, he is usually classified as a West Coast bluesman,
although he did not stick with one particular genre. Fuller recorded for a number of independent
record labels, sometimes those associated with Bob Geddins. These included Heritage,
Hollywood, Flair, Specialty, Aladdin, Imperial and Checker Records.
In 1974, Fuller recorded his debut album, Fullers Blues in Hollywood for the small Australian label
Bluesmaker. On most of the tracks he is accompanied by the Phillip Walker Band. The record was
well received, but saw little commercial success. The album was re-issued in Holland on Diving
Duck in 1988 and now comes available on CD for the first time. Fuller played at the San Francisco
Blues Festival in 1973 and 1977. In the years that followed he could not live from making music
anymore and he mainly worked as a mechanic in a local garage until his death from lung cancer in
Oakland, California, on May 20 1985, at the age of 56.

Released in 2016 on Ruf Records, Demolition Day is the band's fourth full-length
studio release and marks a milestone in their career. The album title cuts deep. It's
just over a decade since Hurricane Katrina tore along the Gulf Coast, plunging New
Orleans into devastation, but throwing together four Big Easy evacuees who found
themselves marooned in San Francisco.
Aaron Wilkinson (acoustic guitar/mandolin/vocals), Chris Mulé (electric guitar/vocals),
Sam Price (bass/vocals) and Garland Paul (drums/vocals) were already on nodding
terms from their hometown circuit, but when the four men joined forces for a weekly
residency at San Francisco's Boom Boom Room, the chemistry was undeniable. By 2009,
the lineup had released award-winning debut Wishing Well, enlisted Hammond B-3
wizard Trevor Brooks and placed one foot onto the podium of New Orleans greats.
Ten years and a thousand gigs down the line, that same battle-hardened lineup took
just four days to track Demolition Day at The Parlor Recording Studio in New Orleans
with famed producer Luther Dickinson (also leader of the North Mississippi Allstars and
ex-Black Crowes guitarist). "We had a very tight window to record," Wilkinson recalls,
"so we had to minimalise in places and really pack a lot of emotion into each take.
Luther calls it 'the freedom of limitation' and it really served us well on this album."
After all, polish isn't necessary when you're working with songs this strong. Across its
eleven cuts, Demolition Day tips a hat to most of the great American genres, while
adding the Honey Island Swamp Band's inimitable thumbprint. There's the springheeled slide-blues of "Ain't No Fun", the upbeat funk of "Head High Water Blues", the
cat-house piano and country-fried guitars of "How Do You Feel". But then, on the
emotional flipside, there's also the reflective wah-guitar lilt of "Say It Isn't True", the
mournful funeral-jazz slow-burn of "No Easy Way" and the heart-in-mouth acoustic
confessional of "Katie". "We're diverse and complex people," Wilkinson says, "and our
audiences are as well. So we try to let our music reflect that."

For a very long time, Mr Bongo have been trying to re-issue this record.
A true and complete album masterpiece in every sense of the word, considered by
many people to be one of the greatest ever made, regardless of genre.
Mastered in 2012 from the original Continental master tapes and supervised by Arthur
Verocai, the album come complete with original replica gatefold artwork.
Recorded at Studio Somil, Rio De Janeiro in 1972, the album was produced, arranged,
directed by the self-taught, Arthur Verocai. Previously he had worked on many records in
various capacities, with artists including Jorge Ben, Ivan Lins and Celia, this album gave
him the chance to do his thing in it's most pure form.
The 29 minute masterpiece, perfect in it's arrangement and fusion of sonics, epitomises
the sound of Brazil at the time; strings, guitars, pianos, break beats, basslines,
synthesizers, vocals from the wonderful Célia and percussion from Pedro Santos. Bossa
nova, samba, jazz, MPB, psychedelics and funk sit side by side effortlessly.
The album transcends the genre of Brazilian music, and infact all genres. Highlighted in
part by the number of artists that have sampled from it; MF Doom, Ludacris & Common,
Little Brother, Jneiro Jarel aka Dr Who Dat?, Dibiase and Action Bronson amongst others.
The original Continental versions of the album now fetch around $2000. Our definitive reissue is an exact replica of the gatefold original LP and the source master is taken from the
Continental tapes, re-mastered in 2012 under Arthur's supervision.

sprawl of distorted guitars, squalling horns, taught strings and electronic shards, samba is
savaged by rock 'n' roll, free-jazz, noise and other experimental music forms as Elza sings,
spits and screams tales of a life in Brazil that is anything but a tropical paradise.
A true legend of Brazilian music Elza has an incredible musical oeuvre that stretches back
over seven decades mixing samba with jazz, soul, funk, hip hop and electronica, whilst her
life-story is a rags-to-riches-to-rags rollercoaster of triumphs and tragedies that has made
her a voice for Brazil's repressed female, black, gay and working class populations.
The Woman at the end of the world is Elza's 34th studio album and her first to feature
previously unrecorded material, exclusively composed for her.

Nao follows up the infectious 'So Good', with her new EP "February 15"
via Dummy Records.
Continuing the theme of her first EP NAO combines cutting edge groove-led production
with classic RnB/soul melodies but February 15 feels like a step up for the native
Londoner. The synths and electronic drums remain but guitars and live bass play a bigger
role on this record; "I'm a big fan of live instrumentation. It's the same as a voice to me, it
captures emotion and an energy totally unique to your song. The likes of Prince & Chaka
Khan are amazing for that."
With no record deal and no marketing budget, the success of NAO's debut EP came as
quite a shock. Two days after she uploaded the title track to Soundcloud 'So Good' found
its way to Zane Lowe, which started a chain of events that would shape the year for NAO.
Following his "Next Hype" play the track started to gain a momentum and life of its own leading to a #1 on HypeMachine, #4 on the iTunes electronic chart, a BBC 1XTRA playlist
and 1.5 million plays on Soundcloud. She then went on to sell out her first two London
shows in a matter of days and was asked to join Little Dragon on their 22-date European
tour.

Originally released in 2002, as a live CD/DVD At The Pongmasters Ball was the first true
live album to be released by Ozric Tentacles since the release in 1992 of Live
Underslunky. Now, Madfish are set to give the album its first release on LP.
Recorded at the final gig of the bands 2002 sell out UK tour, this double album, presented
on 180g black vinyl, captures the very essence of the Ozrics live experience with a frenzied
capacity crowd at London's Shepherds Bush Empire. The album includes classics from Ozric
Tentacles' vast back catalogue as well as previously unreleased material and the odd
"space-jam" where the band free themselves from the shackles of rehearsed material and
let the music wander into unknown territory.
Ozric Tentacles first came together at the Stonehenge Free Festival in 1983, and built an
audience through selling privately produced cassettes of their music. Their talent for
hypnotic, mantra-like grooves found kindred spirits in the British rave scene of the late
1980s, uniting the seemingly disparate 'New Age' Hippie and Rave audiences. Despite the
lack of a hit single, media notoriety or the usual music business hype, much less majorlabel backing, their 1993 album Jurassic Shift was a UK top twenty album, and their
hardcore audience is both dedicated and loyal to the band's unique sound. At the core of
the band's music is an exploration of electronic musical textures and compulsive,
danceable grooves interlaced with strong melodies and multi-ethnic musical references.
Ozric Tentacles are currently promoting and touring their 2015 studio album Technicians
Of The Sacred with festival appearances lined up for summer 2016.

Jesse Aycock is a singer/songwriter from Tulsa, OK that has built a strong fan base
nationally and internationally.

Jon Kenzie is an accomplished singer-songwriter from Manchester with musical roots firmly
based in Blues, Folk and Soul. A self-released artist until now, Jon has already managed to

Originally released as a companion piece to Cradle of Filth's triumphant Peaceville debut, 2010's
'Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa', the 'Evermore Darkly' opus features new tracks, reworkings and
rarities, including the exclusive track 'Thank Your Lucky Scars', plus a special remix of album track
'Forgive Me Father', courtesy of Rob C from Anthrax. Also included is an extended rendition of
the 'Lilith Immaculate' single, as well as tempered demo versions of three 'Darkly, Darkly…' songs.
The mini-album closes with a choice cut from the band's orchestral project which eventually
manifested as 'Midnight in the Labyrinth', in the form of a haunting, classic reworking of fanfavourite, 'Summer Dying Fast'.
Cradle of Filth formed in Suffolk in 1991 and after a string of demo recordings released their
debut album, 'The Principle of Evil Made Flesh' in 1994. The band have gone on to become one of
the UK's most successful metal acts, known for their dynamic symphonic style of gothic black

"Diva", Jean-Jacques Beineix's first film became a cult classic movie such as this soundtrack
internationally acclaimed which received several awards and numerous gold records.
For the opera sequences in "Diva" Vladimir Cosma re-orchestrated "La Wally", a previously
unknown work by Alfredo Catalani with the aria superbly sung by Wilhemenia Fernandez who
acted in the movie.
The emotional relationship between a young postman and the diva is enhanced by "Sentimental
Walk", a piano solo, pure in its simplicity of line and reminiscent of the Erik Satie's "Gymnopedie".
The versality of the composer is discovered in the mystical music accompanying various scenes in
the film, such as his research of Tibetan chant and exotic instruments bringing a mysterious
atmosphere to the film.
This CD presents the entire musical score as well as "Le Chien de Monsieur Michel" a nostalgic
valse musette using a dance-hall piano, accordion and tuba with a constant reassuring carousel
movement yet secretly underlying Monsieur Michel's solitude...

Yves Robert (1990). Inspired by the sweeping panoramic view of the hills of Marcel Pagnol's
youth in the south of France, Vladimir Cosma created a 'habanera' based on the rhythmical
sound of the grasshopper.
The 'Valse' for piano and orchestra of "Le Chateau de ma Mère" gives an impressionistic
ambience to a film set in the early years of the last century. Those classical soundtracks
performed by the Paris Philarmonic Orchestra are ones of the most acclaimed written by the
composer.
La Gloire de mon père - My Father's Glory is a 1957 autobiographical novel by Marcel Pagnol. Its
sequel is My Mother's Castle. It is the first of four volumes in Pagnol's Souvenirs d'enfance series.
It is also a 1990 film based on the novel, and directed by Yves Robert.

The Wing or the Thigh, from the French L'aile ou la cuisse Charles Duchemin, a well-known
gourmet and publisher of a famous restaurant guide, is waging a war against fast food
entrepreneur Tri- catel to save the French art of cooking. After having agreed to appear on a talk
show to show his skills in naming food and wine by taste, he is confronted with two disasters: his
son wants to become a clown rather than a restaurant tester and he, the famous Charles
Duchemin, has lost his taste!
La Zizanie is a 1978 French comedy film directed by Claude Zidi, written by Zidi and Michel Fabre,

This CD features another soundtrack composed around the comic duo Pierre Richard - Gérard
Depardieu with a score of “La Chèvre (The Goat)” influenced by South American folk-music. “Le
Jouet (The Toy)”, the third soundtrack of this album is one of the composer’s most well know

Pardon Mon Affaire (French: Un éléphant ça trompe énormément, English: An Elephant Can Be
Extremely Deceptive) is a French 1976 film directed by Yves Robert. It was remade as the 1984
American film The Woman in Red. The original title contains a pun that cannot be translated in
English. The word "trompe" means both "trunk" (an elephant's organ) and "to cheat" (in a
sexual/romantic way). The movie is about a married man's desire to have an affair with a model
he just met. Nominated for the Golden Globe Awards (USA) as Best Foreign Film.

For these large-scale french comedies, Vladimir Cosma has written two scores for symphony
orchestra which enhance the jocular role of Jean-Paul Belmondo. The electrifying rhytmic
atmosphere of "L'Animal" contrasts with the powerful lyrical theme of "L'As des As", a

L'Animal (1977) is an action-comedy film directed by Claude Zidi and starring Jean-Paul

The two film scores composed by Vladimir Cosma on this record are the very first in a
long career of writing for films, and proved to be the beginning of a faithful and
fruitful collaboration with Yves Robert a very famous French director. As well as the

(cromorne, bass ocarina) illustrating the composer unique research for instrumental
sounds.
Clérambard is a 1969 French comedy film directed by Yves Robert and starring Philippe

impoverished aristocrat goes to desperate lengths to find something to eat.

The Hungarian-born conductor Georg Solti (1912–1997) was one of Decca’s most prolific
recording artists. Eloquence’s survey of his recordings features, in the main, some of his earliest
recordings for the company.
Although recorded as far back as 1960, during his tenure with the Royal Opera House, Covent
Garden, Solti’s recording of Gaîté Parisienne remains one of the sonically most thrilling orchestral
recordings ever to be made and a performance that is no less impactful. Both the
Rossini/Respighi and the Dukas pieces were recorded with the Israel Philharmonic in the late
1950s at a time when Solti also recorded music by Mozart, Schubert, Mendelssohn and
Tchaikovsky with this orchestra. The coupling of the Rossini/Respighi and Dukas works was the
first recording Decca was to issue with the Israel Philharmonic (in September 1957).
In 1967, Solti became music director of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, a post he held until
1991. During his tenure there, his work as a recording artist continued unabated, including
complete symphony cycles by Beethoven, Brahms, Mahler, Bruckner and Tchaikovsky. As music
director laureate, he continued to record with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra until 1997.
The Covent Garden orchestra is on its toes, and its new conductor gets some exhilarating playing,

This, Hamish Milne’s first commercial recording was made for Decca’s L’Oiseau-Lyre imprint.
Reubke became a pupil of Liszt, upon the recommendation of Hans von Bülow, and the older
composer developed a special regard for him.
This is the recording’s first release on CD.
The Piano Sonata and Organ Sonata are the two substantial works Reubke (who died tragically
early) left us, and the debt to Liszt is evident. It is dedicated ‘To my deeply revered teacher, Franz
Liszt’.
Busoni, also a tireless champion of Liszt’s music, published his free piano transcription in 1897,
and performed it in Berlin the same year. It sounds totally authentic and avoids the deliberate
anachronisms which some find less than appealing in his Bach transcriptions.
Milne contributes both a newly-written recollection of making this recording as well as the
original LP notes, here reprinted.

Hans Hotter (1909–2003) was 64 when he recorded two recital LPs for Decca, here coupled as a
2CD set. One of the rare singers to achieve equal eminence in Wagner and in Lieder, the singer’s
voluminous bass-baritone, at once majestic and profoundly human, was in its autumn. Yet, the
sense of detail, of characterization, he brings to these songs, vividly partnered by Geoffrey
Parsons, is not only a joy, but an essential lesson for every student of Lied.
There is evidence of both warmth and candour as well as a wry sense of humour in the Wolf and
Loewe brackets, and he is an absolute natural for Brahms, a composer to whom, even in his
younger years he was irresistibly drawn. As a revered teacher, Hotter would tell his students:
‘Remember, it is important to try not to be boring’.
Throughout these 38 songs, Hotter is, as ever, true to his own precept.

Pianist John Lill, born in London in 1944, has long been associated with the music of Beethoven
and Brahms. He catapulted to international fame, however, when he was the co-winner of the
International Tchaikovsky Competition in 1970. The Concerto No. 2 presented here is a live
recording from that competition, dating from 25 June.
The audience’s vociferous response at the end speaks for itself. Lill’s expertise in this repertoire
stems, in part, from his studies with Wilhelm Kempff. He also studied at the Royal College of
Music. Together with the Paganini Variations and the Op. 76 Piano Pieces, these represent all the
recordings Lill made for Deutsche Grammophon. All receive their first CD and digital release.

symphony has plenty to offer even before the titanic finale on Schiller's idealistic "Ode to Joy."
From the initial fifth interval's 'ex nihilo' to the fateful outbursts at the beginning of the finale,
Stefan Blunier develops a compelling plot line making this full-length work an enthralling

Beethoven's monumental opus by no means met with unanimous approval among his
contemporaries. The unexpected appearance of vocal parts in the finale was too innovative, and
the work's gigantic dimensions were simply too huge. As things turned out, this symphony's
length someday would even set the limits for a CD's maximum playing time.
Stefan Blunier calls on the services of an absolutely outstanding vocal ensemble for the

Some compositions are so good that we wish we could have two of the same.
The early Piano Trio in B major op. 8 by Johannes Brahms is one such work and one of
music history’s greatest cases of good fortune: it has been transmitted in two versions.
As we know, the overly self-critical Brahms otherwise completely destroyed all the early
versions, sketches, and drafts of his works.
The Vienna Piano Trio’s new Brahms edition in superior Super Audio sound on MDG opens with

Commemorating the hundredth anniversary of Reger’s death, the prizewinning Opus Vocale
chamber choir considers his compositions along with works by his contemporaries Brahms,
Bruckner, and Schönberg and explores surprising interconnections between them while
showing the masterful chromaticist in an entirely new light.
The program ranges from Advent and Christmas through the Lenten and Easter seasons to the
end of the church year and its memorial days. Reger would have liked this combination. Raised as
a Catholic, he repeatedly displayed his fascination with the personal piety of Lutheran hymns, and
his correction of the proof pages of the “Eight Sacred Songs” occupied him even on his deathbed.
Volker Hedtfeld relies on superbly educated female and male vocalists from his Opus Vocale
chamber choir for this demanding project, and from Brahms’s “Fest- und
Gedenksprüche” to Schönberg’s “Peace on Earth” the young ensemble displays its flexibility,

Robert Schumann’s Liederkreis is among the most romantic creations ever produced by
romantic music. On her CD debut Efa Hoffmann brings together the Liederkreis and a selection
of folk songs by Johannes Brahms in a multifaceted exploration of the program’s unifying
theme of Waldeinsamkeit - the solitude of the woods.
A generation later Johannes Brahms followed another path. His “folk songs” capture the folk tone
with gripping simplicity.
A wonderfully contemplative recording to soothe the soul from two romantic composers paired
together on this disc.

For nearly 40 years, Elliott Sharp (b. 1951) has created a body of work that is exemplary in both
its breadth and its depth. Sharp’s discography, which numbers more than 300 separate items,
includes works for orchestra, string quartet, rock band, blues band, solo guitar, multiple guitars.
These four works exemplify the wide variety of approaches to the manifestation of his core
concepts over a period of nearly twenty years. They reference influences and philosophies and, in
addition, the diversity of their sound-worlds present sonic strategies that are unique to his
compositional approach, including personalized extended techniques that extend the range of
the instruments beyond notes. All are receiving their premiere recordings, stunningly realized by
an array of stalwarts of the contemporary-music scene.

This 8 CD box set brings together ten rare original albums plus bonus tracks by French violinist
Michèle Auclair, who has attracted something on a cult following. She is one of the most
important personalities on the violinist-scene of the forties to sixties.
These recording made between 1943 and 1962, include works by Bach, Mozart, Brahms,
Tchaikovsky, Bruch and Haydn, and others. Featuring Jacques Thibaud, Jacqueline Bonneau,
Marcel Couraud, Willem van Otterloo, Kurt Wöss, Otto Schulhof, Wilhelm Loibner and Leon
Pommers.
