Saint Kevin Church is committed to being an example of Gospel values in our community, as shown to us by Jesus Christ, through our
outreach to seniors, youth, young adults and especially the poor. We
do this with prayer, friendship, charity, social justice, through the programs and events that we offer, and with a welcoming spirit.

There will be no classes for CCD next Saturday and Sunday due to
the Thanksgiving Holiday. Classes will resume on Saturday, November 30, staring with 9am First Saturday Family Mass.

TURKEY DAY IN THE 10TH WARD
10th Ward Alderman John A. Pope in conjunction with the House
of Blues and Trinity Knights of Columbus Council 3755 will provide a “FREE” Thanksgiving meal TODAY from 12-3pm (or when
food runs out) at the Trinity Knights of Columbus Hall, 11207 S.
Ewing Ave. Doors will open at 11:30am. This is a first come first
serve event. All are welcome. Note: As many have fallen on hard
times we ask that people and families that are struggling attend.

Start your holiday shopping! The St. Florian Parent Club is sponsoring their 4th Annual Holiday Vendor and Book Fair on Saturday,

Thanksgiving Day Meal Prayer
God, who gives us all good gifts and who is the
source of every blessing we have, hear our
prayer as we gather to give thanks for all that
you have set before us. We are grateful not only
for the food that graces our table in such abundance, but also for the bond of family and
friends, strengthened by the meal we share, and
by the warmth of your love that comes to us each day through your
benevolent mercy. Help us to use wisely all the gracious gifts you
have showered upon us for the benefit of ourselves, our family, and
our nation. On this Thanksgiving Day may we acknowledge that
every good thing comes to us from you, and may your bounty never
cease, so that we may share your blessings with those in need.

WORLD AIDS DAY
World AIDS Day is an international day of celebration. It is all
about people getting the facts about HIV/AIDS, getting involved in
some way and caring. It was established in 1988 by the World
Summit of Ministers of Health on AIDS and is observed in over
150 countries around the world.
World AIDS day draws public awareness to the AIDS pandemic
and addresses the stigma, discrimination and rejection which persons living with HIV/AIDS face every day. It is a day to bring a
message of hope, understanding and compassion to persons affected by the disease.
Please remember those persons living with HIV/AIDS, their families and loved ones, caregivers, researches and those millions orphaned by the disease in your prayers.
EL DIA MUNDIAL DE LA LUCHA CONTRA EL SIDA
El día mundial del SIDA es una celebración internacional. Se trata
de que la gente conozca un poco más acerca del VIH/SIDA, implicándose y ayudando de alguna manera. En 1988 fue establecido
este día, dentro de la Cumbre Mundial de los Ministros de la Salud
sobre el SIDA y es hoy en día celebrado por 150 países alrededor
del mundo.
El Día Mundial de la Lucha Contra el SIDA aumenta la conciencia
pública acerca de la pandemia del SIDA y se dirige al estigma, la
discriminación y el rechazo que enfrentan a diario las personas
quienes viven con el VIH/SIDA. Es la oportunidad perfecta para
crear un mensaje de esperanza, entendimiento y compasión para
las personas que sufren de esta enfermedad.
Recordemos en nuestras oraciones a esas personas que viven con el
VIH/SIDA, sus familias y seres queridos, a los cuidadores e investigadores, y a millones de personas quienes han quedado huérfanos
por esta enfermedad.
