THE POSEIDON STORY

Poseidon Early College
High School is made possible through a generous
one-million dollar donation by Dr. Robert and
Mrs. Joan Rechnitz of
Red Bank. This is the
largest donation ever
made to Brookdale Community College. The
Rechnitz’s are the founders of Two Rivers Theater Company in Red Bank
and they also served extensively in the education
and public service arena.
Mrs. Rechnitz is a graduate of Monmouth University and has served as a
board member on several
committees including
“Friends of the Park” and
the Women’s Council for
the Leon Hess Cancer Center at Monmouth Medical
Center. Dr. Rechnitz
worked as an English and
American Literature professor for over thirty
years at
Monmouth
University.
In addition to

“Become a Savvy Smart
Phone User” and worked
one-on-one with members,
assisting them in cell
phone use. The students
demonstrated how to create contact lists, text message, use email, and
much more!
Clean Ocean Action, Highlands, New Jersey, visited
Poseidon and presented a
workshop on ocean pollution. They also provided
students with strategies
for promoting a cleaner
environment within our
community.

if you have any questions, concerns or need
assistance in any way.
