Poelking Entertainment Network Launches Summer Program to Support America's Veterans
Three Dayton area bowling centers - Poelking Lanes in Dayton, Poelking Woodman Lanes in
Kettering, and Poelking Lanes South in Centreville - each have special leagues this summer
specifically created to provide area residents with an opportunity to have fun and support America's
veterans through a national nonprofit charity - BVL: Brightening Veterans' Lives.
"We are so pleased that these Poelking Entertainment Network bowling centers will be helping
create brighter days for our nation's veterans," noted BVL Board Chairman John LaSpina. "This is a
great idea and a unique way to have fun and do something good for our veterans in need."
Founded in L947, BVL is a national nonprofit which provides recreational and therapeutic programs
and services for hospitalized veterans. BVL funds a variety of efforts - from arts and music programs
to sports equipment and pet therapy - all designed to encourage active and healthy lifestyles.
Studies show that BVL programs speed recuperation while reducing stress and feelings of isolation.
