Lifetime Achievement Award
Once hailed by Bob Dylan as “America's greatest
living poet,” acclaimed singer-songwriter Smokey
Robinson's career spans over four decades of
hits. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan,
Robinson founded The Miracles while still in high
school. He is famous for creating a litany of sweet,
soulful sounds including “Shop Around” “Tears of a
Clown” and “I Second That Emotion.” Some of the
most memorable film soundtracks of all time
feature his music. In addition to writing and singing
hits, Robinson also found prodigious success as a
music executive; he became Vice President of Motown Records and produced numerous
hits for other Motown greats including The Temptations, Marvin Gaye and Mary Wells.
He later turned to a solo career where he triumphed with such hits as “Cruisin',” “Quiet
Storm” (which launched a music genre which persists to this day), and “Just to See Her”
and remained VP of Motown Records until the sale of the company to MCA in 1988.
Robinson continues to thrill sold out audiences around the world with his high tenor voice,
impeccable timing and profound sense of lyrics. He will be adding the HMMA's Lifetime
Achievement award to his already impressive roster including: the Grammy Living
Legend Award; induction into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame; the Songwriters' and
Vocal Group Hall of Fame; and the National Medal of Arts Award from the President
of the United States. The HMMA award plaque is designed and crafted by renowned
artist CJ Latimore: www.cjlatimore.com

SONIC ASHTANGA - The word Ashtanga means “self-purification to create
a mindset and mission in life to never create harm for anyone, to reach a
state of purity where one only generates Love and Compassion.” Our
mission is simple : Generate Love and Compassion through our Cathedral
of Sound. Bringing together a festival of dance, performance art, paintings
and films together with the music of Sonic Ashtanga to create light where
there is suffering, Joy where there is darkness. www.sonicashtanga.com
VITAL - Boldly drawing from a wealth of influences across the vast musical
spectrum,Vital is a California-based singer-songwriter poised to inject a
desperately needed shot of adrenaline into a languishing wasteland of
repetitive radio playlists. Vital gallantly traversed galaxies of musical genres
with the release of his breathtaking 5-track debut, The Vital EP in May of
2011. The Vital Album debuts on January 1, 2012 with 9 new offerings.

RUBY SUMMER - They call themselves mermaids, poets, soldiers, pirates,
midnight queens with no shoes on the dance floor. Their parents are
musicians, as their grandparents. They play guitar and they are sisters who
sleep in the same bed, share each others clothes, finish each other's
sentences and are as attached to the ocean as they are to each other. With
their long mermaid hair, red lips, deep eyes, loving nature and strong
attitudes, they are Ruby and Summer, hailing from the beaches of
Carlsbad, California. www.rubysummer.com
SJ is an international award winning and radio charting singer-songwriter

Sirius XM's The Coffeehouse Channel Once an international corporate
attorney for Fortune 100s, SJ is applying his business savvy to pursue a
self-sustaining dream career in today's new music industry.

QUEEN CAVEAT - This hard-hitting four-piece, led by maniacal, ferocious
front woman Lauren Little, has been quick to turn the heads of rock fans
throughout the west coast on the strength of their infectious anthems,
unrivaled musicianship, and riotous - and sometimes downright dangerous stage show. Their live show and hard work ultimately earned them the
attention of ABC executives where they will be featured in a 2-hour special
January 6th, 2012 on ABC's "20-20". LA Examiner calls Queen Caveat one
of LA's and America's best upcoming rock bands. www.queencaveat.com
SLEDGE GRITS - The Sledge Grits Band have been featured on the CBS
Early Show, opened for Ludacris and have become a favorite showcase at
NAMM. Their musicianship is far beyond their years, known for turning
skeptics into believers! These girls have been wowing audiences both
young and old since the band came together in 2008. They are definitely a
‘have to see to believe’ kind of band, described as Heart lead by Mariah
Carey...Big shoes to fill but, their feet are growing fast. Keiko, Kariel, Mimi
and bo-Pah are The Sledge Grits Band. www.gritsworld.com

The Seany Foundation, a non-profit
organization headquartered in San Diego, is

(ES), a rare bone cancer, for seven years. By
funding vital research and helping children thrive
and survive the demands of cancer, The Seany
Foundation will be a part of the cure for pediatric
cancer, the leading cause of death in children.
In 2008, Seany Records was created, a record
label that brings the world compelling and
meaningful music produced by like
