Materials:
• 60 8° seed beads (Violet High Lustre T-8-319)
• 1gm 11°A seed beads (Permanent S/L Cranberry T11-P0024B)
• 1gm 11°B seed bead (Op. Black Matte T11-F401)
• 1gm 15° seed beads (Purple Metal Iris T15-460B)
• 10 Tulip Petal beads (Magic Blue TLP-057)
• 2 ear hooks
• Beading needles, size 10 or 12
• Beading Thread (I use Nymo B)
It’s a party whenever or wherever you wear
these fun, colorful earrings! Iridescent Tulip
Petal beads dance at the end of the fringe,
catching the light and everyone’s eyes.
These earrings are so easy and fast to work up;
make a pair for yourself, then and make more
to give as gifts. As shown, they are 2.5” long;
you can make the fringe longer or shorter to
suit your style.
This pattern is suitable for all levels of beaders
who are comfortable following beading diagrams; beginners may find it challenging.

Step 1:
String (15)8° beads and go through the first bead strung in the opposite direction to
make a teardrop shape. Your working thread and your tail thread will both be
coming out of the first bead in the same direction, as shown in the diagram.
Step 2:
String (9)15° beads and go down
through the first bead strung to
make the loop for the ear hook.
Step 3:
Go through the next (14)8° beads. Skip the
first bead, and go through down the second
bead, as shown in the diagram.
Step 4:
String (1)15°, (1)11°A, (1)15° and
go through the 8° you started from
in the same direction. Go through
the next 8°.
Step 5:
String (1)15°, (1)11°A and go through the first 15° strung in the
previous step and the 8° you started from.
Go through the next 8°.

Step 6:
Repeat Step 5 twice more, adding a
total of (4)11°A beads.
Step 7:
String (1)1°B, (1)11°A and go through the
15° strung in the previous step and 8° you
started from.
Go through the next 8°.
Step 8:
Repeat Step 7 four more times (going
through 11°B beads instead of 15° beads),
adding a total of (5)11°B beads.
Step 9:
String (1)15°, (1)11°A and go
through the 11°B strung in the
previous step and 8° you started
from. Go through the next 8°.
Step 10:
Repeat Step 9 four more times (going through 15° beads instead of 11°B beads),
for a total of five 15° beads on this side.
Go down through the next (5)8° beads on the left side. Go through the first 11°B
bead added in Step 7.

Step 11:
String (7)15°, (5)11°A, (3)8°, (3)15°,
(1) Tulip Petal and (3)15°.
Go back up through (3)8°, (5)11°A,
(7)15°.
Go through the 11°B you started from, the next 8°, and down
through the next 11°B.
Step 12:
String (9)15°, (7)11°A, (3)8°,
(3)15°, (1) Tulip Petal and (3)15°.
Go back up through (3)8°,
(7)11°A, (9)15°.
Go through the 11°B you started from, the next 8°, and down
through the next 11°B.
Step 13:
String (11)15°, (9)11°A, (3)8°,
(3)15°, (1) Tulip Petal and (3)15°.
Go back up through (3)8°,
(9)11°A, (11)15°.
Go through the 11°B you started from, the next 8°, and down
through the next 11°B.

Step 14:
Repeat Step 12 to add the fourth row of fringe.
Repeat Step 11 to add the fifth row of fringe.
Step 15:
Finish off your threads.
Slip the earring finding into the
loop of 15°s at the top.
Repeat Steps 1-15 to make the
second earring.
