damage, so great care should be taken when handling the ceramic burner and logs. It is important
that the logs and ember fibres are installed in accordance with these instructions as any deviation
may cause poor combustion. The addition of further ceramic logs or coals is strictly prohibited.

Placement of the Ember Glow Fibres
Platinum ember glow fibres are made from high grade ceramic wool. The wool is similar to fibreglass
and should be handled carefully. We recommend the use of suitable dust mask, gloves or tweezers
when placing the embers in position. Wash hands immediately after touching to avoid irritation. Do
not store the embers close to flammable liquids.
The embers must be placed correctly
in order to function properly. Tease
out the fabric to form loose, irregular
shapes.
Do not compress the embers or
force into position.
Important:
Tease out fabric to form
loose, irregular shapes.
Use of embers
With the embers correctly placed they glow and flicker similar to glowing ash. Their placement is
important as the effect produced can only occur when they are heated by the gas jets or by direct
radiant heat. Once placed small movements of the embers location can improve the effect.
By rubbing embers into the faces of the logs which are heated by the gas jets, the fibres which
adhere to the logs will glow. With suitable gloves take a square of ember glow and gently rub the
material into the area`s of logs which glow when in operation (see the log fitting instructions which
follow).
The pack containing the ember glow fibres contains more than required.
The additional embers should be kept for further service requirements.
