Many parts are interchangeable, with the exception of the valve bodies. The angle type has an optional venturi seat which may be specified in order to provide additional protection to the valve outlet. Usually the value of Cv increases in the last 10 % of opening stroke. This kind of valve has a single seat body, with an additional stub for the third way. The trim balancing is got by a ring put on the piston having the same section of the plug. A passing hole in the plug let the fluid exerting pressure also on the upper face of the plug; this configuration makes possible to use low power servomotors without the damper. Being similar to a single seat valve, this kind of valve has the advantage of a good seal.
