parents are Emily and Jajury Oyco. I have an older brother named Juriel Clyde. I was 6
years old when my father died due to cardiac arrest. A few months later my mother was
diagnosed with a kidney disease. For me that was the worst years of my life. At present
my mother is undergoing hemodialysis twice a week. I have finished my grade school
with the support of my aunts, uncles and grandparents.
I started grade one in a remote village at the municipality of Cauayan, Negros
Occidental until grade two. Then we transferred to Bacolod City when I was in grade 3
due to my father's death and my Mothe/s illness. lt was very hard but then with the
help of God, my brother and I survived. Years past I began to adjust and been a HEKASI
Quiz Bee participant. I even joined journalism in school and I competed until Division
Level. My favorite subjects are HEKASI, Science and Math. My favorite sport is volleyball.
I graduated second honorable mention among 22J. graduates of my batch.
All of us has his/her own goaffambitions in life. My most important goal is to
finish my studies. To graduate in the course I love, to have a decent job after graduation.
I want to help my family and make them proud of me. However, my simplest goal is to
be happy and to have a good health. I want to have a scholarship until college so that I
can help lessen the burden of my family. My greatest ambition is to become a successful
accountant.
I choose St. Joseph School La Salle to be my secondary school because I believe
this is the school that can equip me with enough knowledge which I can use in the
future.
Being a SJIOBA scholar is the best gift I ever had. I thank God for answering our
prayers. I thank you for being my benefactor. Thank you for being God's blessing to me.
Thank you SJIOBA for the chance to be your scholar. I hope that there will be more
students who can avail of this scholarship. Thank you ! l'll do my best to make you proud
of me.
Being your scholar is not easy. I have to prove to you that I am deserving. As they
say with great power comes great responsibility. I promise that I will study hard to
maintain my grades and be a good student of St. Joseph School La Salle.
With the blessings of God, with your help, all of these will be possible. Thank you very
much and may God bless you, your family and all of us.
