Georgia Chickens:

In 2003, per capita consumption of red meat, poultry and fish was 234
pounds, with poultry comprising 42.7 percent of that consumption. In terms
of total poultry production (chickens and eggs) Georgia ranks #2.
Broilers are
Georgia’s largest single agricultural commodity, and poultry is the largest agricultural segment, creating about $3.26 billion in annual farm income and more than 44 percent of the state’s
agriculture and agribusiness economy.
