After being granted access to 11
Nevadan brothels, the photographer
Jane Hilton captured these
intimate portraits of working girls
in the only state in America where
prostitution is legal. Hilton took
time to gain the trust of each of
her subjects — chosen for their
differing ages and backgrounds.
The resulting series is entitled
Precious, “because to me, they
all are,” she says. Clockwise
