The Finland House in Rio
The Finland House will serve as a marketing platform for Finnish Companies with
an emphasis on Cleantech.
The solutions, products and services of Finnish companies will be presented in an
unique house during Rio’s Olympic Games. The Finland House is supported by the
state of Finland (the Ministry of Education and Culture, the Ministry of Employment
and Economy, Finpro / Team Finland, the Embassy of Finland in Brazil and the
National Olympic Committee of Finland (NOC).
Tapaus Oy is responsible for the production of the Finland House.

In addition to exclusive events promoted to the partners of the Finland House, the
house will host:
• Press conferences by the OC of Finland
• Celebration events in case a Finnish athlete should win a medal
• VIP events: the visits of the President of Finland, the PM of Finland, the
President of the International Olympic Committee; and the Ambassador’s
reception.

The Venue: Casa França-Brasil
The Finland house will be built in the Casa França-Brasil. Dating from 1820, it is a
beautiful neoclassical building that once served as a Customs house. The location
in Center of Rio could not be better. The Boulevard Olímpico, where many events
will take place during the games, is right next to the house.
The House is easily accessible by metro, tram (VLT) and taxi.
Please note that the access to the area by car will be restricted during the games,
and the availability of parking slots is limited.

The Venue: Interior Plan
The open and appealing interior of the house reflects Finland. The house is divided
into two main areas: lounge and conference space. Between the two areas there is
a café/bar.
These two sides can comfortably host both relaxed and more formal events with
speeches and presentations. The house can accommodate groups up to 200
persons.

leave some empty slots in the schedule in order to a free utilization of the space in
