Welcome to Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
Emmanuel is not a place or a building but a people.
A people formed by God through His Son Jesus Christ. We
are forgiven sinners, empowered by the Holy Spirit to love
Him, love each other and love this broken world. We are a
miracle, quite frankly, as we have been drawn by the Risen
Lord from sundry backgrounds and cultures into One family.

By His Word we have come into existence. By His Word
we are sustained as we gather around it weekly. And By His
Word we are emboldened and equipped to search for the lost,
the broken, the lonely and scared, the guilty and ashamed,
and to bring them home!
Emmanuel is Hebrew for “God with us.” It is the name of our
Savior as He is indeed God in the flesh who dwelt among us,
even to the point of hanging on the cross between us and for us. He continues to dwell among
us in His Word and sacraments. He has graciously given us His name! We get to bear His name
as a church because God has certainly been with us and will be with us through all trials and
challenges until Christ comes again in glory! Not even the gates of Hell can prevail against His
Church!
