Naturalists lead small groups teaching natural history and the natural sciences, nature crafting, and social growth, as well as leadership and outdoor skills. Programs emphasize interactive, hands-on, outdoor experiences. Participants slog through bogs, explore forests, tread gently across trails and learn about nature while immersed in it. Join us for a fun-filled summer in the great outdoors! Programs begin at 9:00am and end at 4:00pm. Pre and after care available. Meet at Spring Creek Farm in Palmer. 6225 Farm Loop Rd. Ages 4-9 Enthusiastic instructors lead the campers through games, adventures, and hands on activities while encouraging them to interact with the environment and each other. Programs are developed to educate students about ecology, Geology, natural history, outdoor survival, and positive social skill building. NEW! Through exploration and fun in Trailside’s summer programs we hope to encourage future stewards of Alaska! A nonrefundable $25.00 deposit, which goes towards the balance, is required for each week of camp attended. Total balance is due seven (7) days prior to each week of camp attended. If payment is not made, the balance will be automatically charged. Mail in completed registration form. Refund Policy: Full course fee will be refunded if program is canceled by Trailside Discovery and space in a similar program is not available. A 50% refund will be granted to those withdrawing from a course up to two weeks prior to the beginning of the course. No refunds will be granted to those withdrawing from a course within two weeks of the beginning of the course.
