Dear Potential Sponsor,
Come be a part in celebrating the 12th Anniversary of the
Miami Swordfish Tournament, the only swordfish tournament
of its kind in South Florida and the Florida Keys. This unique
event takes place September 25th – 28th in Coconut Grove.
Teams will compete for thousands of dollars in cash and prizes.
The Miami Swordfish Tournament is a fantastic opportunity to
showcase your company’s product to both the diverse fishing
community and the general public.
Numerous magazines now follow our prestigious tournament series; they print press releases, tournament updates and
articles about the tournament. Marlin, Sportfishing, Florida
Sportsman, Worldwide Angler, and Florida Sportfishing have
all done articles in the past. Locally the Miami Herald, SunSentinel, Weekly Fisherman and the Keys Weekly have run
feature articles about the events. Throughout the year we do
numerous on-air interviews promoting the tournaments.
During the tournament nightly updates are aired. In addition
to all the media coverage we print flyers to be placed in tackle
stores and marinas throughout Florida.
The tournament hosts a website that has full coverage of
the tournament including photos, tournament results, and our
sponsors will be prominently displayed with links to their
websites. We also have live scoring and updates through
CatchStat.com
Once again The World Billfish Series is sanctioning our
event. Each year our Swordfish Tournaments play a pivotal
role in determining the winner of the Southeast Division of The
World Billfish Series. We continue our support of the
International Game Fish Association and the Recreational
Fishing Alliance. These fine organizations work hard to protect
our rights as recreational anglers.
The National Marine Fisheries works closely with us to
collect much needed data on swordfish caught off Florida’s East
Coast. Their scientists are at each weigh-in to take samples for
their research; this is valuable information for the management
of the species. We try to do our part to help ensure the future
of recreational swordfishing.
We have unique sponsor opportunities available for each
tournament and can custom tailor a program for your company.
As you can see we offer a great amount of exposure in
Florida as well as nationally to promote our sponsors. We rely
on them to help continue the series and ensure its future
growth. The tournaments have come a long way thanks to our
sponsors. The more the tournaments grow the more we can do
for conservation.
